  1. I think its perfectly reasonable GM. FWIW three of us were in the Terry Paine Suite, we had never done Hospitality before and thought we would treat ourselves. Have to say it was great, really enjoyed it.
  2. I dont think Liverpool are in a position eiher financially or in league position to splash big money on a 17 year old boy who has played a handful of League One games and throw him straight into the pressure cooker of Premiership football. In an ideal world I'm sure they would love to get him but in the real world they have much bigger fish to fry in the transfer window IMHO.
  3. Well that bit could well be right, you dont have to support your local team as most of us out of town glory hunting Saints fans can testify to
  4. Bloody hell, where have you seen/heard that ?
  5. he is yeah, was born in Verwood and played boys football for Parley Sports near Bournemouth.
  6. I think if he leaves Bournemouth they will drop away. There is no guarantee if he goes to Charlton he will have the same success he has had at Dean Court, certainly not immediately anyway. Persoanlly I dont think he will leave them, not sure he has the bottle to leave nice safe little Bournemouth where he has probably got a job for life.
  7. Quite right, me too. I dont give a stuff about Brighton if they keep beating the teams around us. I'm not greedy, going up in second place will do me. Much rather have breathing space in second than one point off top but about 3 or 4 teams right up our backsides so to speak ;-)
  8. Totally agree. Its a countrywide chant........wonder if he got upset when their fans were singing "Champions league, you're having a laugh" to Arsenal a few weeks back ? No, I doubt it too.
  9. Yeah and for one half of a match he played him on the right side of the pitch and he was brilliant, made 3 goals I seem to remember. Of course GB forgot about that and he never played him in his best position again !!!
  10. Last season we beat them 3-1 at their place and drew 0-0 at home. This season we beat them 2-1 at St Marys. What part of those stats constitute them being our bogey team ? Please clarify your statement so it makes some bloody sense ! ;-)
  11. Strange to see a few people mentioning Bart's wayward kicking on a couple of occasions when Kelvin's kicking is dodgy 80% of the time !!
  12. I wonder why the FA dont introduce a rule similar to the one that applies in the JPT whereby a team has to play a certain percentage of its regular players - i think it equates to 6 regular first teamers in the JPT.
  13. What a wonderful story to wake up to ! Superb news.
  14. Fancy showing yourself up in front of the nipper
  15. Born in Weymouth and moved to Bournemouth 14 years ago. I'm getting closer to becoming a real Saints fan !!!! As if anyone would support the Saints in a bid to be a glory hunter
  16. Interesting that we are yet to hear all this crap about dodgy pitches this season !! I think this is the sort of game we were drawing or losing last year with AP trotting out a bad pitch excuse and the players convinced they couldnt play on anything that didnt resemble a bowling green !
  17. I would be inclined to see if Reading will loan out Antonio for the rest of the season. He gets the odd 15-20 mins here and there for them but thats it. If he came here he would be the natural alternative to Chamberlain when the young man needs a rest etc. He would also play more here than he obviously is going to at Reading and therefore it would help his development. They would be happy, we would be happy and there would be no major fee involved getting in a player who we know can do a job at this level and maybe help push us over the finishing line.
  18. Liverpool should have more imprtant targets than a couple of young League One players in all honesty.
  19. I agree, usually when teams who are succesfull rotate the one constant is the back four. It shouldn't matter today but its a dangerous ploy I think, the more a back four play together the better they are.
  20. 1. Yes he is as good and I think he is quicker. 2. He has good skill and trickery, he is not a one trick pony, ie knock it past the full back and go. 3. Only time will tell, I think at present he is better suited out wide. 4. Not sure 5. No way.
  21. Absolutely. The far side was the problem area, the bit where the sun could not reach because of the stand. Unless they have a magic roll in roll out construction my guess is the stand doesn't move. Given that was there nobody at Charlton who couldnt have worked out that the area shaded from the sun and therefore icey would stay icey with temperatures not getting above zero and no sunshine on it to even give it a half a chance ? Its not rocket science and could have saved 2500 Saints fans plus all their own supporters a wasted journey.
  22. Unless he was sent off for Preston he has never had a red card in his pro career........but he does look a bit rash on accasion. Rather that than fannying about like some of our centrl midfielders so !!
  23. You really are a prize cock aren't you ? I second wild-saints nomination ! Great signing - Well done Mr Cortese IF the 50k fee is true.......at least **** Turpin wore a mask !!
  24. Now that Brian Laws has been sacked today if there was any truth in that hopefully it has gone away !
  25. I would rather have Wooton come on as sub than Oscar Gobern to be honest.
