  1. If its not fit to play at 1pm it aint gonna be much different by 1.15. This is all set up for a classic case of a team not fancying the conditions. Lets hope, if it goes ahead, that team will be Charlton !!
  2. never in a month of Sundays. Ridiculous.
  3. With temperatures set to be around -4/-5 Christmas Eve and Christmas Night niether am I.
  4. That would be very possible with this cold snap expected to last well into next week.
  5. Good luck to them, hope they get themselves promoted and back to where they were last year. They were well and truly dumped on with that double relegation and did far far less wrong than some other clubs we could think of who lead a charmed life !!!
  6. Problem is IF Barnard has had the operation and is out for a month or so who the hell is going to score our goals ? We have a "choice" of Lambert, Guly and Connolly, possible Chamberlain up front ? Not screaming out "GOAL" is it ?
  7. Interesting quote from NA on the OS - "The big blow is Lee Barnard. he's had two little things going wrong in the groin area, we were hoping to get one settled and the medical team have tried to do that, but we've had to go down another pathway..." That sounds very much like he has had to have a hernia operation to clear things up, failing that sounds like he will be out for a while anyway.
  8. I think NC suggests that people are looking to hurt the club just when negotiations are starting to keep certain players here for the long term. Therefore people with agendas, such as agents, journalists after a "I told you first" scoop etc are out to stir the brown stuff. Its not just our club by the way. Any club that has money problems, a change in personnel, as in our case the owner passing away, any sign of weakness or damage to strong solid foundatuions are fed on by some like a bunch of bloody locusts.
  9. I think, probably deliberately, you have missed the point. Up to this season, remember the Pompey game last year to prove it still existed, Season Ticket Holders had a period of time whereby they could secure their seat for Cup games. When all stands are open I wonder why this still does not apply ? The point is your seat has always been your seat for cup gmaes unless you chose not to go to the game or take that seat. The club has now taken away that small benefit and I think its a fair question to ask why.
  10. Cant believe you cant buy your own seat for this game online. The previous two rounds I could understand but this is a premiership team in the 3rd round of the FA Cup FFS. I fail to understand the thinking behind it.
  11. You could understand Portaloo then ?
  12. . just read about the primitive pitch covering.
  13. I have stuck up for Rickie virtually all season but as has been mentioned by a few posters already this staetment is blatantly not accurate. I dont know what you have been watching but you are re-writing the present, never mind history.
  14. as is matt @takingletiss7
  15. Dont think he will but Bart should play tomorrow. Feel a bit sorry for him actually, I thought he might feature in the League Cup, FA Cup and JPT had we stayed in that one long enough !
  16. Have you seen the next three games we have coming up after tomorrow ? A defeat would not be time to slit the wrists just yet. A victory however could see us making our move for the top two :-)
  17. No Charlie Wayman for you Weston ?
  18. Phil Boyer Charlie Wayman (the real one not the dickhead on here !!) Ivan Golac
  19. The only bit I would disagee with is the remark about his son. He was actually our best midfielder whilst he was here and able to play. Not to say he isnt a complete knob as a pundit on Sky of course !
  20. In all seriousness did anyone see the Millwall shirt for their centenary of whatever celebration it was a few weeks ago ? The whole shirt had former players names woven into it and it looked really good. That would have made a superb one off keepsake, much better than the red nose badge !!
  21. No, reading the thread 2 or 3 people mention it in their reports from the evening and all say the figure quoted was £50,000. Absolute bargain IMHO.
  22. Well if you count coming on for 7 or 8 minutes here, 19 minutes there or not coming off the bench at all in some games playing quite well then I guess he is
  23. It may well be BUT since the club have made such a song and dance about it with special one season only club crest and the "Celebrating 125 years" tag line everywhere you look the logical assumption would have been that something would be done to mark the actual birth date of the club !!
  24. You would hope it was being marked in some form or another for those of us who cant afford to pay £125 in hospitality for a bit of birthday cake. I remember at the 100th birthday at The Dell back in 1985 we had a special matchday programme and plenty of events before the game and at half time. The silence however is deafening.
