Just having a peep at Reading's website I see that they are only using Antonio as a late sub in most games, coming on for one of their established wingers. I would be going all out to get him back either on loan or as a permanent signing ASAP.
-
If you think about it those supporters who dont use this forum, or any other forum for that matter, are blissfully unaware of rumour, conspiracy theories and scare mongering so the only news they get is either from the media or from the club itself on the OS. In fact its like the old days before the internet and before fans forums when the summer was literally the CLOSE season and the only news you would hear would be new signings, the fixture list and ticket prices. Of course the forums etc almost demand instant news from the club and they aren't so hot at that.....but is any club ?

Ox-Cha has not yet got the physical presence and more importantly, strength that Antonio has. In this league some of those brutish defenders will push him off the ball like you or i would swat away a fly. If AP is planning on using him in the Antonio role then I fancy we may be left lacking a bit. Fully expct to see a pacy wide man who can play up front signed before end of August however and that will leave Ox-Cha to develop without any added pressure.
-
With 3 weeks to go and you saying we wouldnt get anywhere near last season I would just graciously accept you were wrong to be honest. I'm surprised cos I felt, to a degree like yourself, that the club weren't pushing them enough.
-
Dont forget we are notoriously bad, slow starters. Its about time we laid that tradition to rest though.
-
I think he would, he was a free transfer so it was only the cost of wages, and he is genuine cover for the right back spot. Now Richardson is out for a while I assume he will become first choice and should he get injured AP will put Harding to right back as cover for him.
-
Well he isnt starting....and the fact they flew Butterfield out to Switzerland for this game too. I reckon there is some truth in it and that he is injured.

Who is delighted we have kept our best players! (so far...)

Only disappointment for me is that Antonio hasnt come back............yet ! Perhaps AP has something better up his sleeve for RM/impact sub. -
What are you basing that sweeping statement on ? Just the fact he is at Man City or have you seen him play ?
-
Might have something to do with him getting mentioned more than anyone else on the twitter reports and he only came on half time. Unless it was cos he had a goal ruled out for offside and made a goal.......FFS !
-
And Richardson the new signing....only been here a week and off already ! Rubbish line up for such a major game Pardew, Cortese and everbody else out FFS !
-
I think numbers must be down otherwise they would have posted it on the OS....if nothing else as a sort of two fingered salute to all the people who predicted their, ahem, sales policy this year was not all it could have been !
-
Cos his contract doesn't expire until 29 August....we do have an option for a further year apparently.....dont hold your breath ;-) They are probably giving him every chance to find another club. Perhaps Doddsy will have a quiet word with ****erill !!

Bloody hell, I hope Bradley behaves himself in the flesh pots of Amsterdam. They wont take kindly to having someone nick their handbag whilst servicing a client

IF its been cancelled then its pretty poor PR in our 125th anniversary year and more so as Mary Bates passed away just a few weeks ago. I have nothing against Cortese BUT the guy really needs to hire a PR man cos at the moment the club is telling its supporters nothing. Now they may well come out with a statement in the next few days about the TBT game and other things that people on here are questioning BUT the point is it shouldn't get to that. Whenever they decided there would be no TBT game a simple news item on the OS saying there was no game, or that the game would be mid-season or end of season, whatever, was all that was needed. Would have stopped a lot of speculation and conjecture. In all honesty its just the tip of the iceberg where PR is involved. Mr Cortese needs to remember this is not a bank and everything is kept close to the chest, this is a football club, central to the community, supporters want to know whats happening. It doesn't need any big World shattering exclusive news stories, all supporters want is to be kept informed, have the chance to purchase "their" seat for early Cup games if the whole ground is open, and feel like they are valued. The Supporters charter last year did that.......pity the bloody thing has been ripped up - but there is another puzzle, why ? Why wont the club tell us ? Its all very strange indeed.

Bournemouth League Cup **Ticket Details Announced**
beatlesaint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
quite agree. -
Thats a pity. I assumed the as yet to be filled empty Saturday - 24 July - would be the date of the TBT game. So does this mean our only home pre-season game will in fact be the might of Reading then ?

You do realise that with the exception of the New Carvery these suites have been in place since 1 May 2009 dont you ? The Carvery thing since December 2009. This seems to me what they are called when you decide which deal you want on matchdays - I dont see where or how it says the suites named after MLT, Channon and Paine have lost their name as such. Besides can we just remember that when this supposed atrocity went on the OS Cortese was still over 2 months away from becoming Chairman of SFC !!

David Connolly still listed. Heres hoping
-
You may be right about James but Thomson hardly set the world alight at Torquay. In fact wasn't he dropped for their run in last season ? I would imagine Tisdale is taking a cheap gamble with Jake.

Mass rush expected for season tickets tomorrow?
beatlesaint replied to Liquidshokk's topic in The Saints
Cant argue with that. People on here can dress it up all they like but the bottom line is the club haven't done a bloody thing to encourage Season Ticket sales. Perhaps there is a master plan and it will all become clear in time but at present it just looks like an absolute marketing balls up. -
Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.
beatlesaint replied to landford.saint's topic in The Saints
Quite right. We are allowed to question certain things surely, such as the Season Ticket renewal policy and lack of advertising etc etc. I noticed on the back page of the Bournemouth Echo today there is a red banner at the bottom with the date and times of all Bournemouth's pre-season fixtures, sort of a cut out and keep so if anyone wants to pop along they know when games are. What have we done ? Announced one for definite with others shrouded in mystery. Why ? They must know by now who they are playing and when FFS...or is it going to be like the kit launch where they announced it just barely 24 hours in advance. Talk about giving people chance to arrange their day etc etc. The more notice people get the more inclined people are to warm to the idea of going to something, thats basic marketing. The vale of secrecy when we were told everything was going to be more transparent is a puzzle, and I dont understand the thinking or logic behind it. -

Under 14's, if accompanied by an adult go free. So if you get their ticket over the phone does free turn into 3 ? -
