In fairness you know as much as the rest of us about the Swiss.......ZILCH ! So how can you decide ? You have the choice of buying one of two houses in the same road in the same town but you decide not to take a look at either of them. How do you decide which one you want then ?

Until the deal is signed, sealed and delivered it is hard to say wether Pinnacle are/were all hot air and bluster or wether they are the real deal. If you just look at the facts, not the in depth analysis of "if, buts and maybes" that have gone on on this forum they are thus - The administrator has declared that Pinnacle have the funds to complete the deal and were announced preferred bidder. The administrator stated at the end of the exclustivity period that the money was in place and the only hold up was the business with the FL. the deal has been delayed whilst Pinnacle battle with the FL over what is in the best interests of their purcahse - Southampton Football Club. This has involved much legal to-ing and fro-ing between lawyers. That is it - simple as and everything else has been conjecture with the exception of the new owners appearence on Sky Sports News last Thursday (owner, singular but not necissarily only money man hence the word consortium). And even that was to have him expalin the delay. To write off a consortium and their representatives whose only crime, **** me, is to buy and therefore rescue our club from oblivion without knowing the full facts is scandalous. If they do fail to complete and pull out then fine, let the fireworks and accusations commence cos we will have all been let down, MLT included - probably more so - but until then.....wind ya bloody necks in

They wont, i agree tho, some of the theories and suggestions on here for the past few days has been mind blowing. I know we have all been worrying and doubting things in the past week as this has dragged on much longer than expected but that is no excuse for some of the scandalous suggestions and accusationsmade on here. Debate yeah, thats great, but string people up by their goolies then hang them out to dry is disgraceful......especially when a little thing like truth and facts are not known !

Mark Fry confirmed 19 June that the money and everything was in place, the delay was the FL business, so it should be safe to say they colour of the money is already known

No offence Duncan because I do enjoy your posts but you do have the ability to make a drama out of a crisis sometimes dont you ? If Fry was doing that then why would there have been "very detailed discussions" (in Fry's words) ? Why would the Swiss reps have flown over last Wednesday for talks that had obviously began last weekend ? If the situation had been as you suggest he could have just faxed them the documents or had them sent by courier with a note "this is the agreement, no time to change anything,are you interested, if so please sign here" !! Ok thats a bit simplistic but you get the drift. Whatever your opinion of Fry he is here to sell the Football Club and to think or suggest that he will "scupper our one chance of survival" as you put it by being pig headed is a tad melodramatic and naieve. Besides most of that agreement, money wise anyway, has already been agreed with the Creditors and i thought back along we were told that Pinnacle were not offering the most but were in the best interests of the club. Given that the Swiss will be presumably paying less than they expected to !

Well i mentioned the European Court of Human Rights if everything else fails in an earlier post and it was knocked back by the so called experts on here. But if you think about it how many people is the actions of the FL affecting ? The supporters yes, the players who may have to up sticks and leave against their will (Kelvin anyway) - yes....but most of all the ladies and gentlemen who work for SFC and have not been paid !! If you take Pinnacle's/Tony's stance as being true and accurate then the Football League's blackmail is impacting on many many people and is wholly illegal......blackmail is illegal in all of Europe too you know !! The ECHR are not gonna give a flying **** about who the FL think they are, it is a flagrant breach of the law and there is nothing to say the Swiss outfit will not beat Pinnacle to the punch and then they take legal action against the League. A blue chip company worth billions against a bunch of old codgers who make uo their own rules ? No contest !!

these may seem simplistic to the theorists on here but to my mind this is the bottom line. It is now "out there" that the FL have Pinnacle over a barrell and are basically blackmailing them. As you point out the law is the law and they CANNOT do that, no matter how high and mighty they think they are ! There is not a court in the land who would not uphold Pinnacle's argument that they were forced to sign an illegal document in order to purchase Southampton FC and most of all to give them the licence to play in the league this coming season. Time is running out Tony !!

Surprised nobody has picked up on this part of Tony's note. Do we take it that this means that Pinnacle will STILL buy the club come what may BUT if they can make things better, or on a more level playing field as MLT put it, by this ongoing dialogue before signing the contract, then thats what they will do ? If that is correct, and I have read it right, then that must indicate that at some point there will be a cut off and Pinnacle will say "ok, we accept that" then complete the takeover. Perhaps with salaries to be paid tomorrow that cut off point will be within the next 24 hours ???

I wouldnt no. If Pinnacle submit their papaers to the FL this evening they wont be looked at by them until tomorrow. They will then submit their response, possibly late tomorrow afternoon which Pinnacle will want their lawyers to look over again....and so it goes on. Thursday at the very earliest IMHO.

Very very disappointed this is still going on. I wish we knew what the REAL issues are, it cannot be the 10 points and right to appeal surely cos lets face it nobody has won an appeal against the FL regarding this yet and i cant see us being the first. We know Pinnacle/SFC have a strong case, we know the FL havent exactly been fair but all this talking is not going to change things. If all the money is in place and this deal is for the longterm future of the club and not the short term then regardless of the argument woth the FL please sign the bloody papers. The dispute with the FL is short term planning and is not an issue they will cave in on cos they will NOT be seen to lose face. Come on Tony.............please

To be fair he rarely sounds optimistic. This is the man who called a meeting with staff, told them they wouldnt get paid and to wait another week then less than 24 hours later Pinnacle get the period of exclusivity and staff got paid !!! He is right about the incredible abuse of power however !! I would take the bastards to the court of human rights.......after the deal is done

Anyway......I suppose, bearing in mind TL's statement about the FL faxing them across details of "what they want" do we assume that the Pinnacle team are locked up in a room somewhere going through all the fine detail ? With a view to putting us all out our misery tomorrow ???
