In the International set up, Jay Rod would be better comming off the bench with 20-25 to go with a bit of energy and pace, his direct quick feet and cutting in will cause defences problems specially after having someone like Townsend or Walcott before hand giving them hassle. Lallana looks good, bar the bad Corner i cant think of a bad mistake that would make me say your looking ****, linking well with Rooney.

Jay Rod would fit in under Woys system of 433 play him wide left instead of Wellbeck, for me Wellbeck is no better then Jay Rod both good players but not quite consistent and ever gonna be world class, Rooney and Sturridge however are top class and on there day world class specially Rooney at the moment, however i know for a fact the following will happen, Lambos gonna be 2nd choice as that main striker and Walcott is gonna be the spare wide man for Wellbeck and Sturridge. As for defence i would say Baines and Cole this world cup and then Luke will get his chance as i feel Cole will retire after the world cup specially if we make it to the QF OR SF, Clyne is better then Johnson and Smalling as a RB i would have him 2nd choice to Walker all day every day.

Lorven is a quality CB, il even go out there and say pretty much world class, he will be snapped up in the summer if he keeps this form and we don't finish top 8. Victor well i feel in a time game he should be replaced by Cork in the last 10-15 mins as his passes do go astray but his heading tackling and strength is amazing, hes a unit that bosses that midfield and would be at a top 6 club if he could pass better. Yep agree Davis energy and work rate was the game changer his pressing put them under pressure quicker, also his passing and moving, for me SRL would still be number one, i think him and Osvaldo if they both start Sat will score, Palace are awful and Punch is one of there best players but cant play.

Signing of the season so far, every game hes been decent, today he made two world class tackles and made many more blocks and interceptions, the goal rounded off a top perfomance, how no one else wanted this guy il never know. Only worrying thing is Lambo not scoring, really hope he gets a goal vs Palace next week he is under more pressure now he is a England international and scored more for England then us so far. Next week Drop Osvaldo play Davis or Gaston, let Osvaldo play vs Bristol get a goal and he will go on from there.

Must say he gave the ball away which every player does, however he dont a few at key moments when we could of had a quick break, for me im still shocked how Cork is not on the bench and doesnt come on and get at least 15-20 mins a game.

Nothing to be too upset about, Ronaldo is the best player in the world or 2nd best depending on your views. They needed someone else to be there ready to tackle intercept or make CR pass the ball on, Davis works hard to pressure players on the ball force mistakes, but you need someone to help you vs top player like CR, must say he would of done that to me or most other players they would of then nailed him, so fair play to S.Davis for keeping his head.

Lambert is too good to drop, and even dropping him to number 10 will cost him his England place, thats Rooneys role, Lambo needs to get goals to make the England squad. Osvaldo has shown me nothing to say he deserves to start over Lambo, if he cant adapt as quick as Lambo did, then he needs to step up, we cant have another Gaston, where we get one good perfomance every 3-4 games. MP needs to get Lambo and Osvaldo working together rotating the roles and allowing them a chance to both to get 12 plus goals each, this would be ideal and if hes a good manager as his potential shows he will notice this.

Sharp may as well get some game time now, no need for the management to not inc him in the 25 man squad, one injury or 3 game ban and were short of strikers.

I think he will do this, Osvaldo Lambo Jay Rod and Sharp are the four strikers we have now. Sharp may as well play Bristol City game and also be involved he is our 4th choice striker, others will need a rest. If there is a injury to Lambo or Osvaldo for a prem game we can really move Jay Rod up top as we need him on the wing of the 3, so again i see him playing some part, will be interesting to see if he makes our final squad.

MoPo bashing, but deserved, Lallana should of stayed on, JWP and Chambers are both good players, but im sorry bench again for them lads, we need width and pace that Punch and Clyne provided last season, we need Clyne back at RB and we need Lallana or Jay Rod on he right to provide that bit of pace ( ok not loads but quicker then JWP) and skill to produce a cross or cut in. The great thing is this year we look more solid at the back and im confident once we take the lead in the game before the end, with our 60-65% possession were see out games or teams will press us and were get a 2nd goal, WHUFC will get frustrated should we get a early goal, if we beat WHUFC this forum will all be happy again and talking of top 8 finish again. I said this year top 10 and i think as long as we do that its a good season with the money we spent we need finish at least 3 positions higher then last season and a good cup run, these can both still be achieved, if we lose to WHUFC, then il agree top 8 will become harder, but its not over.

Osvaldo was a idiot last week, im shocked at the love for him, should of been sent off, for me i would keep him on the bench for that, if not MoPo clearly has no authority, he showed flashes of his excellence however i would say again maybe a half time appearance or 25 mins to go, and then look to start him after the international break. Lambo played well in patches last week, wasnt amazing but certainly was the worse player on the pitch. We miss Clynes pace so for me i would drop Chambers and bring back in Clyne, very harsh as he has been quality, game plan i would hope would be the following, bring Gaston and Oslvaldo off the bench with 30 mins to go, kill the game off and then bring on Cork for the last 15 mins to tidy up and keep the lead.

Nice to see a club appreciate our youth system, i see some of them arguing about costs, for me personally if i was on pompeys board now, i would have open invites to any lad between 16-21 whos played wessex or higher to come along and try out for a u21 side, ok 1st batch of players may not be league two or one quality but you may find the odd gem and it will save them plenty of money, then build from there each year add the facilities, link up with colleges like Eastleigh and Basingstoke do, its all very simples, just a shame no one there has thought about it.

To be fair Xavi Insetia Cesc David Villa all played in a attacking position for barca last season none of them have rapid pace, Villa is about Jay Rods pace which is good but not rapid like theo bale etc.

Currently there only slightly better, however there get a decent GK LB and CF there be top 4 again this season and were looking at 8th-10th, however should they not get good replacements i think there finish 6th, Spurs City Utd Chelsea are the top 4 at the moment.
