  1. I really wish someone at the club would just tell him not to speak in public, ever. I was just beginning to like him again but that was mainly because he'd been silent for so long. This is just pure rubbish, I don't know if he thinks giving interviews like this are helpful, but someone needs to tell him personally not to bother.
  2. My prediction is it'll be someone from abroad and who we've never heard of.
  3. Him and Stephens were brilliant at Bournemouth. They score for fun, most defences will struggle with them. I know he's not popular on here and he hasn't played brilliantly at times but recently he had improved.
  4. I don't agree that this buys Hughes time. If we don't win on Saturday then the focus once again shifts to our very poor league campaign. It does take a little of the pressure off the players and coaches, at least in the short-term, which might benefit us.
  5. What makes you say that?
  6. Shame about Hoedt, him and Stephens had been looking quite solid (excluding the Man City match obviously). I imagine Vestergaard will come in.
  7. I think the international break will be far from quiet at Saints. I wonder if that's why they've done it, give us 2+ weeks to get replacements sorted going into the January transfer window. Of course, over the summer, we had a couple of months...
  8. Interesting. Big changes happening at the club upstairs, clearly.
  9. Moderators - can we have a poll, see who agrees and disagrees with the decision?
  10. Yeah it's bizarre. Out of all the issues currently, he isn't one of them.
  11. Happy days, he should've gone in the summer. From the wording of the statement, it sounds as if he's been sacked rather than him resigning. I can't see Hughes lasting much longer in all honesty, a defeat on Saturday would be the end for sure.
  12. Should've got rid of the players instead. We'd be in a far better position.
  13. Presumably that means at least one of Gallagher, Long and Austin are off in January.
  14. Not a chance. I know we're not very good, but we'd beat them easily. We were at a low ebb last season and beat a number of lower league teams with ease.
  15. Please quote my posts where I have been 'noshing him off'. Or do I have to prove you wrong again?
  16. Stoke were awful because they sacked Hughes, they only won twice after he left.
  17. Why do you have to turn every thread into an anti-Hughes one? You don't like him, we get it.
  18. I could accept Moyes, and West Ham don't really seem to have improved much since they got in a sexier name and spent more money (surprise surprise...)
  19. Allardyce would be a disaster, those calling for Hughes to be sacked but Allardyce to come in are posters either on the wind up or mentally challenged in some capacity. Our problem isn't defending (ignore Sunday, we kept two clean sheets consecutively before then), it's going forward that's the issue and finishing off teams where we're obviously the better side. We don't want a manager whose tactics mean we only lose 2-0 or 3-0 against Man City and draw 0-0 against the rest. As ITKs have said, we'll NEVER hire Allardyce, so this debate is pointless. Les Reed isn't that stupid.
  20. Such a shame that the Brexit brigade have hijacked the poppy.
  21. Huddersfield, Cardiff, Fulham... The three worst teams in this division.
  22. At least you spelt his name correctly
  23. If you or I had made so many mistakes in the same period, we'd be sacked. People should be losing their jobs over this.
  24. Strachan would be brilliant. He wouldn't take the **** that Krueger spouts
  25. Les Reed should've gone last season, instead he got a promotion FFS!! The only hope is for someone to take over his current roles and responsibilities but I can't see him leaving the club totally.
