That second line is rubbish. As much as I dislike him right now, he is the best defender I have ever seen play for us, and perhaps ever will. Let's not start saying "well he's not that good anyway" because we know it's not true.

With TV viewing figures down, I'd be surprised if, when the new TV deal is announced, it didn't go down in price. Maybe it's better for us to keep hold of it for now rather than wasting it in a hugely inflated market. Anyhow, the last Jeremy Wilson piece said we were looking to make some additions, so let's wait and see what happens. Hopefully we'll get good news on that front soon

Only Begovic is a decent signing IMO. Defoe had a dreadful end to the season and giving him a three year contract on those wages is terrible business. Aké is decent but costs a lot of money. They signed Ibe from Liverpool last season for a similar amount and he flopped. Big money does not equal success.
