I do agree to a certain extent, although the club have said that they always take their time over making signings, and deals take a while to sort out - negotiate with the club, with the agent, etc. Nevertheless, they knew Fonte was leaving, so they should've had an idea of some replacements.

Nah doesn't cut it for me. No mention of how he hates Pompey.

Good riddance to hypochondriac. Hopefully he learns how to be civil in his time away from the forum.

They'll also want to play well. A bad performance = being dropped. There will be 2 weeks, so plenty of recovery time if anyone picks up a little knock.

This forum IS primarily for people to take shots at each other. Go and discuss football somewhere else.

One of the better refs in the league.

Your point doesn't make any sense. It we don't win it, then that means we either draw or lose. That's the 'X' that happens.

Playing devil's advocate here, and I agree with certain sentiments that Forster could do better, but only three goalkeepers have more clean sheets than him this season

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/now-pompey-s-finest-ever-team-is-reunited-1-7806431 #bestest They've been abusing their own players since the 1940s. Although, I am surprised Neil Allen was allowed to write such a libellous comment, it's nothing more than fake news.

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/yakubu-set-coventry-city-fitness-12559071 Surprised he's not going back to his 'spiritual home' - surely they'd break the bank to get him back there? Or sell more 'shares' to raise the necessary cash?

This is what the majority think but they're being drowned out by the whines of a rather loud and persistent minority. alpine and Batman do not speak for most Saints fans.

We need a fast start like we did on Saturday and get an early goal. The next step is to defend better, keep them out, and hopefully score a few more. I wonder if Sunderland winning will play into our hands. They might attack a bit more then they would have done, and it'll be bit more open.

It'd be good to go into the cup final with some momentum, so on that basis it is a must win.
-
I'd only be in favour of that if he maintained the success he managed at Reading (relegation and failure to get promotion) and at Sheff Utd (failure to get promotion)
-
They're not exactly performing well at the moment. Why would any big club want them, bar VVD?
-
Man Utd are just papering over the cracks by winning 3-0 against Leicester
-
Batman, log off. You're just embarrassing yourself.

Another thread to bump at the end of the season and laugh at.

Can't have been that good a source - he hasn't left.

It will be three from the current bottom 6. Bournemouth are below us and I rank their chances of going down very, very slim.
-
I really, really want to play them next season. 12 years and counting since we last beat them

I think serious questions must be asked of the recruitment department. Les Reed's future should be under threat IMO, two transfer windows he has messed up. We have an excellent manager, he needs to be backed.
-
I would also take Adkins back. Our most successful manager, popular with the fans, good attacking football. I still am optimistic that Puel will turn it around. But losing VVD is a massive issue. Anyhow, I've said all that needs to be said tonight. I hope others will calm down a bit and look at things more rationally. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/ According to this, we only have a 3% chance of relegation. The bottom three will be made up of three teams who are currently in the bottom 6.
