Wednesday to Sunday is better than Wednesday (or Thursday) to Saturday
4 days recovery makes a difference. I'd imagine at least one of them won't play the 90 minutes anyway
Pompey fans on twitter getting excited because they've signed (another) striker from Hampton and Richmond
Mention how big the club is, check
Mention the famous atmosphere, check
No mention of how the fans are the best in the country though, so he still has a bit to learn.
Pascal Plancque, although we don't really hear from him (perhaps he doesn't speak English)
Judging by his biography on the Saints website, he has worked mainly as a youth coach, so perhaps his ability at coaching youngsters is why he was brought in.
I think Aleks Gross does a lot of work, he seems to have taken up the role Jan Kluitenberg had.
I agree with the idea of a salary cap in principle, but for it to work, at the very least it would have to be applied across all of the UEFA nations. Otherwise, everyone would just buggger off to Spain, France, Germany and Italy.
I miss those days. I spent the hours in between lectures at university browsing this thread. The numerous court proceedings, along with the Pompey News webchats, were superb fun. I kind of want them to get a couple of promotions and then for it to go wrong again.
The only thing missing is a victory against them. 12 years and counting, that's half my lifetime!
Leicester are not playing a game in midweek. Therefore, they will be fitter, and will have an advantage. Not to mention the risk of players getting injuries.
Rotate, rotate, rotate.
Martin Atkinson is the referee for this one. Let's hope he does a better job than Neil Swarbrick, or if he will try to ensure that there is the money-making final that the FA/EFL/Sky so desperately want.
Obviously there is a difference between the Championship and Premier League but I reckon if Gallagher was playing now, he'd give us the focal point up front that we are obviously lacking. Creating chances isn't the issue, it's taking them that is.
