Too many passengers in the game again, which again is a stark contrast compared to last week against a bigger and better team and everyone gave their all. The worst offenders being Mr. Captain (Give it to Ings ffs), Cedric "I'm off in the summer anyway" and Redmond. The last one might be a bit harsh, but I think we were just grateful to have a player who ran with the ball last season. Tonight he just kept passing it back to the defence when on the ball. Djenepo and Boufal are examples of the level of winger we should be aiming for and they're a clear level above Redmond. This doesn't help the players who put in a shift, but ultimately lack the quality as they're having to do the jobs of two players. I also think Obafemi is a bit of a headless chicken up top. Tonight was his chance to shine against a weak defence, who are also quite slow, but he did nothing. But, hey, we got a big three points, so can't complain too much. I just don't think we can afford to be as complacent against Norwich in midweek, as they're a team of workers who are also quite clinical when given the chance.

Brought his name up before. Centre-back released by us five years a go, snapped up by Brighton, while we kept hold of Jack Stephens.
-
Yeah, Sawyers is a West Brom lad and working well with a good manager in Bilic. Didn't realise he was 28 though, thought he was younger than that.
-
Not the first time Hasenhuttl has given out these sound bites regarding Obafemi. Work on your finishing and composure in training, which isn't great from what I've seen in matches and then come back.

Down we go. Exactly like 2005 with all these leads we’ve given up.
-
Boufal’s an absolute magician.
-
Any chance of an Everton equaliser.

Please don’t go off Bednarek
-
Get the points Saints!

I’ve always thought Cedric couldn’t cross, despite his reputation for being an attacking full-back, but that’s taken it to new levels. Another one whose contract expiration can’t come any sooner.
-
Arsenal brought on an attacker for a defender, changed the game. Come on Ralph, be proactive, rather than reactive with the subs for a change.
-
Bottom as it stands.
-
Super defending Bednarek.
-
Arsenal are there for the taking, let's get them in the second half. Make some positive substitutions early and all that. Obafemi's been a bit anonymous, although I think his instructions were to just be a pest this afternoon.

All the joy down Chambers’ side. Hopefully Djenepo or Boufal get a go against him.

Run at Sokratis.

The sooner Hojbjerg’s contract runs out, the better.

- Was apparently replacing Jaidi. Yeah, Manji's been spouting nonsense for months now guys... -
Cheers for Adams, Ross. Fully fit squad and he’s nowhere to be seen.
-
Bradley Wright-Phillips is available.

All talking while dawdling once again. When’s the next fans forum, or have they now been scrapped until further notice? -
Giving the armband to Ings would make sense. Southampton's his hometown, puts maximum effort in every match, one of our better performers, not just an effort merchant. Hell, he doesn't even seem to get injured anymore. (Okay, I've just jinxed that now)

How many days wages are we donating this week then? Absolute ****e all over the pitch once again. Lucky it was only 2-1. Can we fine Cedric a few weeks after announcing he was leaving in the week and then putting in whatever that was for 45 minutes.

Brentford are 13th in the Championship, let's not get silly. -
We need players fully committed to Southampton following that 9-0 against Leicester. Cedric's already thinking of his life away from Southampton, which is a shame as he's a better option than Valery at the moment, but he can also definitely improved upon.
