  1. This. Was far more interested in sponging off us while taking ridiculously long to recover from trips to play for Uruguay.
  2. We didnt pay Osvaldo for 5 years.
  3. No way did we pay off the whole value of Osvaldo's contract. We will never know, but I am confident Gash has cost us a whole lot more, since he has hung around the club like a rotten fart for years.
  4. Wages ???
  5. I wish he'd just p*ss off. Most expensive mistake in Saints history.
  6. Shouldnt we have pushed Romeu more, rather than bench him ?
  7. As Kinnock was ?
  8. I think we are all guilty of that; maybe its only now becoming so apparent that he (or maybe it was Cortese ?) had a longer legacy than was thought at the time.
  9. The UKs natural politics is Blairite. The Tories only manage to stick down deep roots in government because Labour periodicially blow a brain fart and make themselves unelectable, as they are doing now. Cameron has tried to position the Tories only slightly right of Blairite (nobody serious can claim they are anywhere near Thatcherite), but is failing dismally to convince people they care about them.
  10. This would be f**king hillarious. What goes around comes around.
  11. Then Koeman has to go. He has undone everything that Cortese, Adkins and Pochettino worked so hard to put in place.
  12. Pretty unforgivable. I think his time is nearly up.
  13. Sorry, I agree with him. The focus and intensity was lost when Cortese went. The end of that season was also a damp squib. I reckon outrage at the antics of the summer 2014 gave us the motivation to start 2014/15 well, then the Koeman drag factor kicked in over the last 10 games then as well. And now we see his management, warts-and-all for what it is.
  14. Yep. If the board dont make a change, either invest in some decent players or change the manager, we will know we are at the level they have been aiming for. Which is back to the Alan Ball / Dave Jones type of seasons - scrap through and keep the PL place to keep the revenue coming. I dread to think where we will be after the summers transfer activity...
  15. Its clear that last season was down to Pochettino's legacy - probably explains why last season tailed off. Blooding youngsters, fitness and sourcing players from the black box are probably the key issues.
  16. Man, we are sh*t nowadays....
  17. I am enjoying the cut of Verbal's jib on this thread. Corbyn is an utter deluded c*nt, who is going to deliver us a generation of Tory rule - the thing he is supposed to be fighting against. He is making Labour as unelectable as it was under Foot, even worse than under Milliband or Kinnock. He has put his own beliefs first and acted like a total hypocrite - the man who has voted against the party whip over 500 times in 30 years undertakes a Stalinist purge of his shadow cabinet. I cant make my mind up if it is him that is the deluded c*nt, or is it getting so bad because he is being so badly advised by Abbot, Livingstone and Milne.
  18. Jesus, are there really people out there still thinking this. 8 grand a minute. Outstanding. In my opinion, Gashton is a much bigger cluster-f*ck than Osvaldo. We got rid of Osvaldo PDQ.
  19. Not the answer. Strangely, whilst we are recalling all sorts of young players, the one that always impressed me and might have made an impact has had his loan extended...
  20. Any substance to discuss ??
  21. I thought in 2005 it might be a change of scenery, but looking back at what subsequently happened (player exodus, disappearance from media, etc.) I would never want that to happen again.
  22. Yep, same old complacency. Lets hope things are viewed a bit more seriously at SMS. At least you're getting plenty of opportunity to wave your todger around and demonstrate to us how you are a REAL fan, eh ?
  23. "lost once in 5" and "lost one in 8" isnt cherry-picking. The most worrying thing is the sense of utter denial in these parts again. The return of the "we're too good to go down" b*ll*cks...
  24. Take the p*ss all you want. Your opinion of Samuel notwithstanding, its not like this wasnt foreseen. Funny how you and the likes of SOGGY are always in your element when the rest of the posting fanbase is down. Does it make you guys feel important when yopu are busy sneering and dismissing the worries of your fellow fans ?
