  1. I’d give him another go, regardless of what happens tomorrow. He’s taken us to the playoffs, and quite comfortably too (unlike Burley), then won the semi quite convincingly. Anything can happen in the final but overall I’d say he’s done a decent job here.
  2. When you say, “chuck all that,” all of what, exactly? Man Utd have been steadily declining towards absolute dog sh*t, both in ETH’s tenure and in the years before that. They have been hopelessly underperforming relative to what they’ve spent and half their players can’t be arsed. There’s not much use in putting in one glory performance in a cup final against City, when you’re not interested in beating Bournemouth and Wolves the rest of the year.
  3. And Gubbins. Vince in at 4 already ha 29 off 20. I’m guessing we’re now pushing the rate with a view to putting them back in tomorrow morning.

TBH I’d rather be in Rafah than Katie Price.
  5. The most recent times I can remember a saints web meet up were the 2017 cup final, I ended up drinking with Spudders, Pap and a couple of others in London and a friendly kick about at Flemming Park before a home game with West Brom, which their fans failed to turn up for. I was surprised to find some of you are bordering on actually being tolerable in real life.
  6. 119/9 now, which means we’ll probably be bowled out for about 60. Is the wicket that bad, we seem to have gone completely the other way from our other home games?
  7. I freely admit to voting for them last time, and I’m glad I did. Not this time though.
  8. It makes me feel dirty. I might wear my naughty nurse’s uniform when I do it.
  9. The constant Ayrton Senna stuff on the F1 coverage and social media pages. I get it, 30 years, but f**k me it’s been incessant for about a month.
  10. Have a look back at the summer transfer thread from 2022 if you’re interested. There were an awful lot of, “FFS! We’d better not be going into another season with McC,” type comments. He hasn’t earned the first team spot, that’s why he was replaced by Baz in the first place. Even when he came in at the end of last season he looked awful, worse than Baz, and was shipping goals left, right and centre. The fact that he didn’t get picked, in a position where you can only ever have one player and it pays to be consistent, is hardly mistreating the guy. I don’t believe for a minute that he feels any animosity towards the club and if he does, he can p*ss off.

Have they been deliberately bowling no balls again?
  12. I’ll echo that sentiment, hopefully he landed rectum first on a particularly sharp pine tree.
  13. Complete conjecture. I’ve no idea why you’d think he feels his way, he’s been paid very well to be one of our goalkeepers. He was originally brought in as cover for Forster, so it’s not like he’s ever been promised he would be our number one either.
  14. CIA? Mossad? Manbearpig?
  15. Hes conceded 89 goals, by far the most in the division and the save percentage everyone raves about is worse than Angus Gunn. Yes I know it’s Rotherham and he does pull off some good looking saves but there’s a lot gets past him. I’ll bet if you looked back at every goal he’s conceded this season you’ll find a healthy dozen that people would be furious about if Baz had conceded them, not least one that he conceded against us. One of Rotherham’s better players but not one I’ll be losing sleep over not signing.
  16. 41/4. Christ, we are actually going to lose this aren’t we.
  17. Agreed. The only Tory I want to get pegged by is Priti Patel.
  18. Don't see the issue with extending Lumley's contract. Our third choice keepers in the past have included Cody Cropper and Tommy Forecast. It's not a position anyone really prioritises (or budgets for).
  19. Vince falls just before lunch to leave us 61/3 and still trailing by 174. We’ve really sh*t the bed from 17/3 and 50/6 yesterday.
  20. Looking back, Leeds wore their blue away kit at St Mary’s and obviously we wore black at ER a couple of weeks ago. We wore the same kit at Swansea BUT, they wore their white home kit at SMS, so clearly it’s not against any colour clash regulation. You’d hope for red and white and I can’t see why not.
  21. No. A lot of people don’t rate Baz, okay fine, but this fantasy that McC is somehow leagues above him is false. He played the last 6 games of last season and we looked dreadful, conceding 17 goals. He's acquitted himself well at the end of this season but he’s definitely living in the ‘not Bazunu’ honeymoon period right now, in the eyes of many. The Stoke goal he conceded was pretty poor and he could have conceded a couple more yesterday, dropping a fairly routine catch and passing the ball straight out to a WBA player. A full season of those kind of mistakes and people’s patience would soon run out.
  22. I’m pretty sure it gets dug up and relaid every summer anyway, so I doubt he gives a hoot.
  23. I’m hoping we let McC go and are looking at bringing in other options, personally.
  24. Alex made an excellent save to tip that effort over the bar, although he did also have two clangers which he got away with. One dropping a fairly easy looping ball, which the opponent didn’t even challenge for, the other passing the ball straight to a WBA player about 30 yards out. Thankfully neither were punished on this occasion. Im not sure we’ve really seen anything Baz wouldn’t have done in the last two games. Given that his weakness seems to be shots hit low, hard and primarily to the left, none of the three saves McC made have really fulfilled that criteria. They were all straight at him at varying heights and didn’t need any lateral movement.
  25. TBF 450 people is about ten times the number I was expecting to turn up to a field next to a nuclear power plant in Cumbria to talk about conspiracy theories.
