I’m just waiting for Lyanco to post something like, “just not our day today, we regroup and go again,” two days early on instagram.
-
If I had to put my money on one player at the club doing something like this, it’d be Lyanco.
-
It’s a step ahead of the other two simply by virtue of the hollow circle on the sponsors logo. Why they couldn’t do that on the other shirts I don’t know.
-
He never said ‘unique’, you just assumed. He actually meant ‘uncommon’.
-
Was that the one like Kenwyne’s almost hat trick against Birmingham, except it actually went in?
-
At the risk of going all Godwin, this is like the Germans still, in 1970, saying, "no, we didn’t do anything wrong there." I’ll have a look around Clinton’s, see if they’ve got any ‘Sorry we interrupted your genocide’ cards.

Sheff Utd concede a goal straight from their own corner, must be a red and white thing. On a separate note, it was a good metre offside with no VAR.
-
I thought that was the Pointer Sisters?

F**k me, who died and made you Dalai Lama?

Fairly straight forward; you said we’d need a bit of luck to lose 3-0, so what happens if we don’t get it and luck is generally neutral in this game? What score would you expect then? Also I’m quite obviously talking about after the game.

It almost feels like some of these comparisons are being done for bait, knowing that they’ll attract ridicule from some and therefore generating the negative comments which they need to fight against. It’s a shame that women’s football seems to attract this kind of thing and both sides are as bad as each other. For every troll saying, “get back in the kitchen,” there’s some other idiot comparing Doris Bennett to Dennis Bergkamp. It never happens in other sports. If a woman wins gold in the commonwealth games 800m, nobody will be saying, “she’ll be very disappointed with that performance, 20 seconds behind the slowest mens time.”

Mollie King. She’s f**king gorgeous.
-
We’re short by a decent striker and possibly cover at FB but I can’t see much else happening for players in.
-
So what's a 'bog standard' result then, 6-0? People often say things like this but then never seem to throw out the bunting when we miraculously salvage a 2-1 defeat.
-
I would personally go with something like Baz Lyanco ABK Salisu KWP JWP Lavia Djenepo Aribo S Armstrong Adams Having said that I expect it to be Rom and Bednarek in for Lyanco and Lavia.
-
Most enjoyable with a woman who has a strong Germanic accent. So I’m told.
-
I jokingly said that it would get chalked off when VAR brought play back to give Monaco a penalty. It did look a bit theatrical from the Kingsland.
-
You would be surprised. This is a part of the world where people believe ground up rhino horn gives you... well, a horn. Chinese airlines semi-frequently incur delays from passengers throwing loose change into jet engines for good luck, whilst boarding.
-
Looked like 3-4-3 for me, for the most part. I'd say Aribo looked decent in his cameo, Djenepo was okay-ish at wing back and it was good to see Perraud back and in a role which suits him. Diallo also looked decent at times I thought. A few players lacking a little sharpness but generally decent overall.

TBF, it was well past their bed time.

The Lionesses success - Five footballing lessons for us?
Lighthouse replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Playing against a team of comparable quality to Sweden Women? No, I didn’t, and nor did anyone else. -
Who else is going along tonight? Quite looking forward to seeing how some of the new lads look.

I can’t really tell if this thread is being ironic or not but the answer is nothing. Literally nothing. The lionesses would struggle to even touch the ball outside of their own penalty area against Saints. You know how Moi suddenly found decent movement, positional play, passing and shooting in Scotland? It’s that times one hundred. -
So do Matt Le Tissier and Ted Cruz.
