What's my evidence to disprove someone else's non-sequitur, based on little more than wishful thinking? That's not really how evidence works, the burden of proof lies with the person making the claim. I have no reason to believe kneeling would reduce racism any more than building a snowman would reduce child abuse or hopping on one leg would reduce fly tipping. The gesture may well mean something to the people doing it but I think it was abundantly clear last night that it was having zero to negative effect on a section of Hungarian fans.

I doubt either Southampton or Newcastle, as cities, have anything which would entice any reputable players, particularly from abroad. I’d say Southampton has the significant advantage of being close to London, which is clearly going to be an attraction for a lot of younger players and their WAGs.
