  1. The weather is sh*t but I'm not sure we can really blame that on the IRA.
  2. TBH I wouldn't really want that either. It sounds like Shea is developing well at a level and club which suits him. I don't think it'd really benefit either him or us, coming back here into this farce of a team.
  3. I think my diet these days is basically anything with a Club card discount. Green beans and a family sized carrot cake? Sure, why not!
  4. Christ, the guy is absolutely done, physically with professional football. I don’t care about his touch and ability, he jogs around for half an hour a month, then gets injured. His contribution in half a season has been one decent assist against Ipswich. I don’t know when we started aiming so low as a club and a fan base that we started thinking this warranted a new contract.
  5. Wayne Rooney has left Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth. Any idea what we call them now?
  6. We are so blatantly going to give Lallana a new contract and come up with some horse sh*t about how vital his experience will be in getting promoted next season, aren’t we.
  7. One or the other out of him and Manning will surfice. I'm not sure what our plans are for when the welly checks in tomorrow but when he does we'll have him, Manning, Taylor and Larios all vying for that LB spot and none of them actually playing because KWP is there.
  8. Any negotiation on that point would likely include the assumption that we're getting relegated and the player will likely take a wage drop anyway. We could potentially work on some sort of 'pay the difference' settlement, which is sh*t but still better than paying dosens of useless players full whack to do nothing. Even if we're paying 30% of their current wages for the next year or two, I'd be looking for suitors for Fraser, Smallbone, Larios, Sully, Taylor or Manning, TP, KWP (wont need a wage drop) and if anyone will take a punt on him, Stewart.
  9. I don't want them out so much as I want someone who actually knows what he's doing making the football decisions. There are far, far worse owners than SR, who have actually opened their cheque book quite a lot.
  10. I'm just glad that they're dragging Everton and (hilariously) Man Utd back into the equation. The latter wont go down in a million years but the idea of their fans twitching over that shrinking seven point gap keeps me warm at night.
  11. Newcastle hit the post with what would have been goal of the season. Absolute turkey shoot this.
  12. No, the first one was disallowed for interfering with play, which Armstrong obviously was, not 'impeding the goalkeeper'. Yesterday's goal gets disallowed 99 times out of 100 but Armstrong's was rightfully disallowed.
  13. We'll be no worse than we were in the second half of 2022/23 or than Sheff Utd were last season and both those teams did/are doing pretty well in the Championship the following year. We're already stacked with decent Championship players, over 30 of them by my reckoning so we don't need to sign any more. If we can cancel Cornet's loan somehow then maybe we can make better use of that in January but otherwise I really don't see the point in doing much.
  14. Anybody use this as an alternative to traditional fibre broadband? My current deal is coming to and end, wondering if anyone had personal experince, good or bad, of 5G routers, such as Vodafone's Gigacube. P.S. Tommy Robinson, Palestine, Trump, trans Ched Evans etc.
  15. The alternative you're basically describing the first 20 minutes against Spurs. Whatever it is you are envisioning, I fear you may be disappointed.
  16. A better team than Palace would have put five or six past us yesterday, we were so open they could just run at us at will. If we start committing more players forward we're likely to get properly embarrassed next time we play someone decent.

I've seen some people point to the number of PL appearances he's made as proof that he's a PL defender. In reality all it really proves is how awful our recruitment has been for a sustained period of time. We weren't exactly fighting off buyers when we last went down and I doubt we will be in summer either.
  18. I see him as a decent enough player in the Stu Armstrong or Steven Davis role, albeit not as good as the latter. I say decent, he's West Ham or Brentford decent, not Chelsea or Arsenal decent. He has limitations and he'll have bad games.
  19. 14 conceded in their last 5. I do wonder how long RVN will last.
  20. If you want to split hairs then fine, Ralph lost to Cardiff then immediately beat Arsenal and Huddersfield. Everyone who watched that Everton game could see what Poch was trying to implement and that he was taking us to the next level. You misunderstand my point. I'm not expecting Juric to match either of their results, it's about the principle. A decent manager should start to see improvement relative to his predecessor within the first 3-4 games. People are saying if Juric can't muster 6 points in 21 games, it's because we didn't sack Martin soon enough, which is just weird nonsense.

Not to mention an incredibly flimsy CM and almost nothing by way of creativity beyond an inconsistent 18 year old. Not sure I agree with the second sentence as such. We said that last time, it's all about who holds on to which players. In that regard, I think we'll see relatively few come in for our lot.
  22. You're comparing games against Chelsea and Spurs with Palace and West Ham. Seems fair. Palace had 19 shots today, 10 on target and 6 blocked.
  23. He did not link up well. He flicked on headers to nobody and our only goal had nothing to do with him.
  24. That's weird because I remember managers like Poch and Ralph coming in and making an immediate improvement with literally their first game. Adkins took a couple of weeks, Hughes came in mid-March and did enough to just about keep us up with about 10 games left. So why does the man being appointed with more than half the season left have such a difficult task? Seems to me he's got the team doing his thing almost immediately, we're going direct, he's got TP starting, much less passing around the back. Which 'habits' have we got that are so impossible to shake?
  25. He was sh*te.
