If I had to choose between Boufal and Lemina, one to sell and one to give another chance, I’d keep Lemina. I think without him we’re weak in central midfield. JWP doesn’t cover the same amount of ground, Slattery is completely unproven and Armstrong looks substandard to me.

Why is criticism always taken as 'being written off'? A small number of people are concerned as to how well he strikes a ball and whether he can make the step up. Seems reasonable enough, nobody is saying he will never make it.

Cameras can determine offside better than a human eye, that’s all that matters here. It’s not infallible but it’s an improvement. Personally I think the line on the screen should include a 6 inch buffer zone behind the defender; any body part within that doesn’t count as offside.

Anything said about Tadic in hindsight isn’t really relevant. There’s no way on Earth he’d have had the season he’s just had if he had stayed. He is playing in well managed, winning team in a weak league and has found a new lease of life which he has carried through into the Champions League. If he’d stayed here, he probably would have four goals, a couple of missed pens and just be stinking out the dressing room because he didn’t get to leave. Moi I thought was useless from the first preseason game I saw him in and he’s done nothing whatsoever to change my mind.

I've still yet to see any reasonable explanation as to why people think this. A ref giving into pressure, making a split second decision at OT is one thing but I don't see why an official in a quiet room, watching a replay 3 times from different angles would deliberately favour the 'bigger' team.
