It’ll improve matters for Israel, that’s why they’re doing it. When was the last time Iraq, Libya or anyone in Syria attacked Israel?

Why do you keep trying to put the onus on Israel? There’ll never be peace - period. Nothing they agree to will bring about peace in that region. Heck, even if all nine million of them stood up and walked into the sea, the neighbouring states would be slaughtering each other over who gets control over the vacated land.

Everything that would normally route south through Iraq and Iran is scattering and diverting.

Flightradar24 is looking interesting over Eastern Turkey again.
  5. I didn’t realise it was possible to disagree with such a short post three times, but I do.
  6. I think Imants Bleidelis, Calumn Davenport, Craig Maskell, Veggard Forren, Mislav Orsic, Aleddine Yahia, Guido Carrillo, Mikel Nilsson, David Speedie, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Wes Hoedt, Ali Dia, Olivier Bernard, Philip Djuricic, Mark Draper, Jos Hooiveld, Mohammed Elyounoussi, Jeremy Pied, Ainsley Maitland Niles, Kleber Chala, Danny Fox, Andrei Kanchelskis, Sekou Mara, Angus Gunn, Martin Cranie, Will Smallbone, Darren Kenton, Moussa Djenepo, Yoanne Folly, Mohammed Salisu, Uwe Rosler and Adam Armstrong might have something to say on that, but I take your point.
  7. I’m astonished that anyone, let alone the club scouts, thought he’d be a decent signing at this level. Six goals in as many months (after netting zero in the first half of the season in La Liga) does not a Premier League player make. Runs like a tortoise in ski boots, goes down about as convincingly as an Oceangate submarine.
  8. Get them training with a walkie talkie, instead of a ball. They’ll soon learn to pass it further and quicker.
  9. Good luck getting someone decent to take this job on. I think I’d rather be the manager of Hezbollah right now.
  10. Nobody complained when Hammond and Chaplow were doing it against Coventry.
  11. No, I think he just naturally runs like he’s carrying a grandfather clock through knee deep marmite.
  12. That just about sums up BBD. Gets got the f**kin’ ball but he’s so hopeless that he hasn’t got a clue what to do and throws himself pathetically on the floor.
  13. So does AA, what’s your point?
  14. Even stranger to ignore literary all the wins that got us to within a couple of points of the autos when he got injured. p.s. You’d have slaughtered him for letting in that third tonight.
  15. Yeah, thank f**k that happened. The 3 wins, 2 draws and 8 defeats since then have been a breath of fresh air.
  16. When we signed Lallana I thought it was the most mind-bendingly obvious thing in the universe that he was nowhere near PL fitness and was highly unlikely to start any kind of string of consecutive games. How can you be struggling to understand this?
  17. Without all the money to be one of the better teams, it’s just as bad, if not worse. This league isn’t sh*t, losing is.
  18. It wasn’t moving and the ball was, if anything, further from the goal than where the foul took place. Neither of those are excuses, we were just naive and asleep for a set piece.
  19. So 4-6-0 I guess.
  20. Where has this myth that passing football started with Pep, and that everyone just wants to copy him, come from? Spain dominated football from 2007-2012 playing a neat, passing, possesion based game, when Pep was coaching Barcelona's reserves. They weren't even the first team to do it then either. Ralph and Poch played a pressing game, Jones was direct and old-school, Martin's teams pass and keep possession. We've seen all three of those strategies fail when not played correctly, there's no 'correct' game plan.
  21. It was nuts. When I saw Palmer had scored four goals in 19 minutes, I didn't realise he'd also hit the post and had one disallowed for a tight offside. Not to mention the other one they had disallowed for (I think) Jackson. That line would work if you were defending against Grant Holt and Matt Le Tissier but against Chelsea's attack it was just weird.
  22. Whenever I watch Daws play, I just think that England's loss is Hampshire's gain. To have a player of his calibre regularly available for all formats is an absolute priviledge. Turner on the other hand has been called up to the white ball squad and not bowled a single ball for them.
  23. Wow, imagine going from January all the way to Novermber 9th, without a single clean sheet.
  24. 19 minutes, and here we are discussing which of our strikers is the best bet to score four goals in a season.
  25. After a pretty ropey start to the County season, we've come good to an extent. Best of the rest behind Surrey is probably as good as we could have asked at the start of the year. Some thinking to do in recruitment now, particularly with the white ball.
