It's not about minutes he just hasn't looked good, apart from a few tricks and turns. We've scored one goal in the last 8 games when he's been on the pitch (that's Saints as a team, not him personally) and that was at Boro when he started, wasn't involved and got dragged off at half time. I'm not saying Tadic is good at the moment but he at least has been in the past, more so when played on the left.

No maybe about it. In their eyes they are the glorious and righteous nation and America is the evil, western aggressor. That is of course entirely incorrect to the rest of the sane world. This incident may not start a war in itself but it certainly escalates things. The assassination of Franz Ferdinand proved what can happen when a small spark is added to the correct fuel mixture.

He will likely go AND we wont recruit another CB. Virgil, Hoot, Yoshi, JS and Jan is already enough. -

None of those players is going to accept a rotational role for Saints and we could never afford it. -
There's a difference though, a line in the sand which they've now crossed. You can do whatever you want inside your own territory, Russia is forever maneuvering troops around on the Latvian border and into Kaliningrad etc. but actively firing a weapon into another countries airspace is another step up entirely. More to the point the US really aren't after a fight, they're only responding to the aggression against them and South Korea/Japan. Your viewpoint seems akin to your older brother walking into your bedroom and hitting you, you hit him back and your mum says "stop it, you're both as bad as each other." You aren't really, are you, there's a clear difference in intentions.
-
As far as I am aware, the US aren't firing missiles into North Korean aispace. Had there been some sort of fault and a missile had come down on the Japanese mainland, even away from built up areas, it really would have escalated the situation.

It's more a comment of his Saints career in general. The answer is apparently a man who has scored two goals in a year, against Sunderland reserves and Boro.

I know Pyongyang like their rhetoric and sabre rattling but they're really pushing their luck.

I can't say the club has done anything to p1ss off the fans this summer. Obviously it will be a complete p1ss take if they sell now but I can't see it, so close to the end of the window.

We do, so far he's just been a useless show pony who always tries one trick too many and gives the ball away.

How is he only 26? I swear he has been boring me with his mediocrity for at least a decade. -
It's not hard to look outstanding against that team. There was a truly ridiculous amount of space in front of their defence for Mane, Wijnaldum and Firmino to just waltz through. They're good but Arsenal made them look like 1970s Brazil. It's astonishing really, reminds of Burley's last season in charge here when he was playing Jermaine Wright at LB, Makin at centre half and had a borderline fetish for buying midfielders.

Can't wait for Saints game against this lot. Knowing us, Tadic will get the ball in a space the size of a car park on the edge of their box and still play it out sideways to Davis.
-
Arsenal could be on their way to one of those Chelsea/Liverpool mid-table finishes from a couple of years ago if they aren't careful. They look awful, although no doubt they will suddenly start looking good in January when it's too late and they're 1000 miles away from the title race.

There are some pretty awful stats out there. 3 goals at home to teams in the top half last season. 4 goals on a Saturday at St Mary's in 2017 - All against West Ham 7 goals from open play at home last year (3 of them against Palace)
-
That's normally because pub matches don't have a linesman.

Just when you think obvious troll couldn't possibly be more obvious, people go and bite.
-
Funny how the three other teams who "I wish we were like..." are currently in the bottom three.
-
Newly promoted Started well Northern away day Saints under-performing. This has got 1-0 defeat written all over it. Mounie to score, Tadic to miss a pen.
-
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I don't think we were very good last night.

This are good newts!

I was curious as to how that system would work but not with those players. Boufal and Tadic can't play together, Austin has no pace at all, JWP was useless, Pied nowhere near good enough for that role. The overall play was just so static. 5 defenders pinging around with no movement at all in front of them, just a bunch of lemons stood watching Yoshida and expecting him to magically scythe the defence open. Another thing I don't get is why the only time we show any flare or adventure, it's playing 50 yard Hollywood passes, to our LB in his own half. What's he going to do with it there. And defending corners with 11 in our own box... at home... to Wolves... and still conceding... f**k me sideways!!
-
What the frig!? Same old, same old; big clubs nicking our players I guess.
-
Does anyone know if Hoot was registered in time for this?

Aguero sold him that one. Harsh sending off.
