I've been banging that drum for years, GSTQ is awful. Both in terms of the tune, which is dull, flat and uninspiring, and the lyrics, which are outdated and out of touch to British society. 'I Vow to Thee My Country' would be my preference, 'Jerusalem' is another good shout.

I actually didn't mind the vuvuzelas as a one-off tournament gimmick, the England band on the other hand... it's like being forced to sit through a school piano recital for a niece you don't even like. Go on, which of your three songs are you going to play this time? The Great Escape, GSTQ or Rule Britannia? Oh, you've learned how to play Achy Breaky Heart (badly out of time and tune) good for you!

Shame he only gets 3 posts a day, he's mildly entertaining.

Danny Rose, Glenda's MOTM.
-
Well Rooney's performance yesterday was, "praised in all quarters," according to Tyldsley. I swear it's like the Emperor's New Clothes with England sometimes.
-
Motty is the worst for me. Some of his comments are bordering on senile, then he just sit there chuckling to himself. Jonathan Pearce is probably my favourite, although that's mainly due to Robot Wars.

Bertrand having a good game.
-
You'd be furious if that goal was given against us.
-
More impressive than Sterling and his no halves of a good season.
-
Only 16 of the 48 teams which will participate in the groups have so far been confirmed, i.e. the ones good enough not to have to play any qualifiers. I can't imagine us being in the bottom pot when the likes of SS Folgore, Kapaz PFK and Infonet Tallinn join the party.

No and very little. In the grand scheme of things, EL prize and TV money is tiny.
-
What's bad about a bidding war over a player we have no need to sell? He will only go if someone offers us stupid money.
-
Isn't the Tadic story from a couple of months ago when we were still playing 5-3-2 and he wasn't getting in the side? Things have changed since then, I can see him staying personally.
-
I see your point. I've been trying to clean myself since the final whistle but they just don't make water hot enough.

It's the one where the bloke sells his soul to the devil, then gets shot. There's a dead hooker, that's about it. You haven't missed much.

Probably bouncing around my living room when we beat Spurs on TV. That's if it didn't go out the window when we beat City the week before. Failing that, I may have left it under the table in an apres ski bar in the Alps, after one too many beers watching us destroy Arsenal. My point being, I'll get all tearful and overjoyed over Saints, thank you very much. 'An other team' winning the FA Cup isn't THAT amazing, let's be honest. Wigan did it a couple of years ago, then there's that lot down the road. Unusual but not exactly once in a lifetime.

A lot still to be decided obviously but there are a few tasty looking potential opponents. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016%E2%80%9317_UEFA_Europa_League Inter, Zenit, Bilbao, Feyenoord and Shalke definitely in the groups. Fiorentina in the 3rd round playoff. Potential teams to avoid? Zorya are in the groups and the first qualy round has 3 potential trips to both Kazakhstan or the Faroe Islands.

Literally the second the whistle went I switched over, there's a repeat of Jonathan Creek on Sky channel 158. Also, Uncle Buck is on ITV2 in 10 minutes if anyone's interested. Excellent result. I know there are many would have happily gone through the qualifiers to see a Palace win but they're 2 weeks after the end of the Euros for crying out loud. Imagine if Fonte and Cedric made it all the way to the final with Portugal, or Bertrand with Eng... forget it, that one wont happen. Let's see who's still pining over a Palace win when West Ham are losing 1-0 away to Zorya Luhansk.
-
Yeah, except: a) Nobody other than Saints, West Ham and Palace fans will care about the EL implications of this game b) There's a reason we go straight into the group stage and not Stoke, Bournemouth or Port Vale. We got 63 points in the Premier League, we don't have anyone to thank other than our own club.
-
Much funnier if LVG keeps his job and better for us if West Ham have to play 4 qualifiers.
-
Thank f**k
-
FFS! Well if it's anyone, at least it's Puncheon.
-
That's the thing, he didn't have to make a 'split second' decision. In fact refs never do TBH, I don't get why he couldn't have waited a couple of seconds to see how it panned out. If you're going to stop play anyway, why not wait?
-
I've highlighted the key word. Nope. Just giving the ball away stupidly, which lead to that Palace f/k.
-
Rooney being sh*t already. Going to be painful watching him shoehorned into England's midfield this summer.
