  1. I know it's a lazy thing to say but he has basically turned them into Wigan. Capable of some brilliant stuff on their day but wildly inconsistent.
  2. On the other hand, a Utd win would be a big step towards Leicester winning the League before we go to White Hart Lane. Between that, being guaranteed Champions League football and a few players not wanting to get injured for the Euros, might give us a better chance. Can't see us catching Utd really, even if they lost both games in hand they've still got a 3 point head start.
  3. Just checked, as recently as 4 years ago actually when Swansea, QPR and Norwich stayed up. Pretty sure Palace and Norwich had just been promoted in 2005 though.
  4. As it stands the three teams going down have a combined stadium capacity of 144,200. A bit mental really. Have all three promoted sides ever survived in the top division?
  5. Ha! Sunderland have been so pedestrian though. Never at any point looked like they were throwing the kitchen sink at an equaliser.
  6. Skills there from Borini.
  7. SSN now interviewing Neil McCann on the matter. Christ he was sh*te.
  8. Pretty much exactly my team TBH. If we start with 5 defenders and 3 defensive MF like we did yesterday, I'll be a bit miffed. I know 3 of them are coming back from injuries but that's why we have subs surely.
  9. Not as good as the paintbrush shirts from 6 years ago.
  10. Possibly a team of; FF, Cedric, Fonte, Virgil, Bertrand, Wanyama, Romeu, Mané, Davis, Long, Pelle Subs; SKD, Yoshi, JWP, Clasie, Tadic, Austin, J Rod
  11. Agree with this, airborne drones are the way forward. Never sleeping, never resting, never giving in, not caring if they get shot down, like something out of a Terminator film. If you think we live in fear, imagine what it must be like for an IS warrior, never knowing when a laser guided missile might come through the kitchen window. That's the way forward; an enemy in the sky you can't see and couldn't hurt even if you knew they were coming. Keep taking out the leaders and eventually IS will descend into chaos, fear and lose its appeal to young European Muslims.
  12. The onus is on these communities to be extra vigilant for extremist behaviour, report it and stamp it out. In an ideal world there would be no 'Muslim communities' as this implies segregation and isolation, which is what leads to fundamentalism. I'm against the idea of Muslim schools (and Christian, Jewish and other religious schools) in principle and think they should be banned, so that minorities are properly integrated into British society.
  13. The only way out of this mess is the relentless pursuit and elimination of all the leaders, preachers, bomb makers, training camps etc. Which breed this brand of extremism.
  14. Despite everything were somehow only 4 points of a Champions League spot and Man City have only beaten Villa, Sunderland and Palace in the League since New Years Day. Bear in mind they've still got to come to St Mary's too, let's not give up on that dream just yet. Yes I would like Leicester to win the league but not at the expense of our own European aspirations. On the flip side I don't think I've wanted us to beat Spurs this much since that time Beattie and co. Got Hoddle sacked.
  15. Nah, I like the JPT, it's a good chance for the smaller clubs to win a cup final and one of my favourite League 1 memories. If anything I think the League Cup should be an U-21 competition with a max of 3 overage players lowed in any given squad. That competition has always just struck me as a slightly naff 'FA Cup light' where half the clubs only put out their reserves anyway and can't really be arsed.
  16. I can't tell if it's a bad photoshop or a good oil painting. The lady on the left looks more like a Barbie than an actual human.
  17. Say what you like, I've heard Kane cooks a mean breakfast.
  18. A - we won't get £20m for Wanyama, probably about £12m. B - Utd won't sell Morgan for £15m C - Morgan won't take a massive pay cut to come here when Spurs have much more cash and Champs League football.
  19. Lambert would be nowhere near our greatest 11. I think the only player who comes close since we returned to the Premier league is Toby and possibly Virgil. I'm not old enough to have seen anyone pre-Prem era but those two have been absolute class. I'd have Beattie or Pahars ahead of Lambert, let alone Shearer, Keegan, Big Ron, et. al.
  20. Strike him, Centurion! Strike him very roughly!
  21. Celtic and Rangers fans aren't religious, they just use that as another excuse to go out and brain each other. There would be just as much violence if they were all Atheist, Hindu or Jewish.
  22. Ah, the old 'act like a complete fruitcake, then act like the whole thing was all a big joke and you fooled everybody' routine.
