  1. Spurs have been under-performing for years. Before Poch was appointed, a lot of people wanted Levy out. Wrong managers, wrong signings and always in the shadow of Arsenal. He hasn't exactly done us over either. Poch and Hoddle left for more money, with the promise of more to spend and a higher League status. We got £8m for Richards too, unlike the man he was replacing who went off to Arsenal on a Bosman.
  2. I don't think anyone's doubting it will be a tough game. They could rest their entire first 11 and still have a better team on paper. The point is we have a better chance if Silva, KDB, Toure and Aguero don't play.
  3. We wont meet his wage demands.
  4. Looks like Glasgow is back.
  5. Firstly, we could score 8 and Roy would still go with Hart in France. Secondly, I don't want Forster having anything do do with that team and attracting even more interest in summer.
  6. That's all just conjecture. You have no idea what discussions were going on behind the scenes. How many players have said they were "very happy at club XYZ" 3 weeks before they're off out the door. It's a pretty standard, non-committal press statement.
  7. Perfect result for us really. With MP leaving City, already with a PL medal but no CL, perhaps winning the latter will be his priority. He is obviously not interested personally in next season's CL qualification, perhaps that will show in his selection of Saturday. Straws, clutching, etc.
  8. Good news, Aguero and KDB next please. Come on Pepe, it's been a while since you did something mental.
  9. Last year at the halfway point we had 33 points. This year we had 24. Supposing we'd achieved those 9 extra points this year, we'd be on 63 right now and breathing down the necks of City and Arsenal. If 6 of those extra points had come from beating Utd and Spurs at St Mary's, we'd be 7 points ahead of Utd, 3 behind Spurs and Leicester would have been crowned Champions this evening. Would have made for an interesting end to the season. All if's, buts and tenuous hypotheticals of course.
  10. They'll be delighted. They've all been Leicester fans since Christmas.
  11. Yeah, sorry. That was supposed to be in response to Alanh.
  12. I haven't seen anything unreasonable posted on here. To say, "well we won, everything's fine," is sticking your head in the sand to an extent. We let in 2 poor goals and went into stoppage time with just a 1 goal lead against the worst team in the Premier League for 10 years. The only other team they've scored twice against in the last 4 months is Norwich. We get away with playing like this against sides as poor as Newcastle and Villa but against anyone better we come unstuck, which showed at Goodison.
  13. What is it now? 1 point in 7 games against Spurs since we came up. Can't see too far beyond 1 from 8 in a couple of weeks personally. Also, we haven't beaten Everton this season either.
  14. Incorrect, he does not suffer 'disappointment', it's all just a cry for attention. It's no coincidence that his opinion is always the one which will draw the most criticism and derision.
  15. Such a predictable troll and yet so many bites.
  16. Interesting this one. If Man Utd win their game in hand, City are only 2 points above 5th and will really need a win. On the flip side, this fixture comes in the middle of a Real Madrid sandwich, with City playing them twice in the space of 8 days. No doubt they will have one eye on the Champions League, I reckon we could get a point if we play to our potential. I'd go with the same team as Villa.
  17. Well if THE Neil Rucastle said it...
  18. Can see the League being decided when we go to WHL. I'll take a stab at Spurs beating WBA and drawing at Chelsea, whilst Leicester lose at OT. 4 point gap going into the last 2; Leicester beat Everton, Spurs beat us and the title goes to Leicester.
  19. You mean when Williams smacked the ball right at him and he wasn't expecting it? Don't be a plank, if you defend that badly you deserve to concede. You could see from William's reaction, he knew he'd c*cked up.
  20. 2-0, they're on their way. I only hope all that Champion's League money will go towards reinforcing their stadium.
  21. Sunderland are going to do it again aren't they. Spend 3/4 of the season being utterly, utterly garbage and somehow stay up.
  22. I care because had the lino been awake it would have been given offside and another chance wasted, on top of the other goal he had disallowed for offside. It doesn't matter with regards to yesterday's result but he would be lucky to get away with that a second time.
  23. How is Everton an upgrade on Saints? They been in the bottom half for the last 2 years.
  24. People are annoyed by how we failed to convert so much possession around the Villa box and that for most of the game it was finely balanced on a 1 goal advantage. We had a 2-0 lead for all of 6 minutes and a 3-1 lead for 14 minutes. We were sloppy, gave away cheap goals, wasted chances and would have lost to a better team.
  25. I'm not sure this game can be used as a yardstick for anything TBH. We were playing the worst team the Premier League has seen since Derby came up 10 years ago, it's very rare that you come up against a team that poor (although Newcastle seem to manage it at St Mary's every season).
