If he's a good player he's worth having, even on loan. It's like saying we were only developing Toby for Spurs, when actually he played a vital part in getting us into the Europa League. Just because he will go back to Man U potentially a better player doesn't mean he can't DAJFU. Supposing I could guarantee he would come here and score 30 League goals, then go back to Man U. Would you still be against signing him? Obviously I can't but we shouldn't turn players down just because they're on loan. Think how much worse we'd have been in our first League 1 season without Waigo and Antonio.

Christ knows I wish you wouldn't bother. It's like repeatedly explaining to the forum what bears do in the woods. It's not about developing him for Man U, if he is good enough to add something to our team at relatively low cost then it's a no brainer. I'm not really convinced by AJ yet but he does look better than Elia, Djuricic and JWP, which seems to be the bench mark for us.

Hire some wannabe artist to come and adjust the splatter to look like Jesus. Then claim it as a divine miracle and sell it to the papers. Sorted.

Would be interested to see how a Serb and a Kosovan get on in training.
-
Not sure. Perhaps they can cut it off, chop it into 4 pieces and send them back to headquarters.

How's that a handball from 2 yards away?
-
Aaaaaaand it's another MLG thread. Bye everyone!
-
And a certain Welshman ahead of Surman maybe.
-
Said it before and I'll say it again. Video technology would have cleared that up in 20 seconds. Games shouldn't swing on decisions like that.
-
Yeah and I don't much like Bournemouth either.
-
How was that goal given and Bompey's disallowed?

What about FA Cup + All our top players and Koeman sign new long term deals + 12th + knock Liverpool out of EL but lose semi to Spurs. or EL + Relegation but come straight back up + Pompey relegated + Noshed off by Saints WAG of your choice
-
Yep, same. Normally I'd prioritise the League over the FA Cup but winning the EL would trump that if we stayed up. The chance to play in the Champions League, even for only a year would attract some high caliber players.
-
Yeah but Hooper dies and the shark doesn't explode (sorry Fry). The film is better IMO.
-
Watford is no bigger than any other game and I would place higher priority on this one. I'd expect a very similar team to the Everton game but with J Rod and Romeu probably starting ahead of Long and maybe Tadic.
-
Terrible replacements. Romeu, Clasie, Caulker and Van Dijk were all dreadful first half.
-
Some people already have, some never will, the rest are spread out inbetween.

2 years ago today. Probably my favourite moment watching England.

EL by a mile. 1. We've never won it before 2. Into the Champions League 3. It would mean one heck of a European tour. We'd probably have to beat the likes of Dortmund and Liverpool at some point. 4. Most of us went to Wembley for the JPT, 15,000 Saints fans packing out Basel City centre would be quite something.

He put in a couple of decent performances but that doesn't prove he is up to it yet. Targett has also put in a couple of decent performances but I don't think he is quite ready yet either. My point about those youth players in the admin season was that they looked promising but they weren't ready for regular first team action. I wouldn't want to make the same mistakes when there is no need to. Reed is 20 years old, he wont be a has-been if he spends a year in the Championship.
-
We can't give our academy players regular first team football if they just aren't good enough yet. The fact that we've brought in Clasie and Romeu and are considering loaning Reed out suggests he isn't ready yet. We gave first team opportunities to Oli Lancashire, Calum Davenport, Jamie White and Jake Thompson when they clearly weren't ready for it. Look how that turned out.

My sources close to the club are telling me Fonte is Portuguese.
-
Yeah, bigger clubs. Not Villa.
-
I'm not quite sure how or why Villa would be a big pay day. It strikes me their squad has been lacking investment for years now.
-
You're talking to a man who has already written off a 19 year old, based on the first game of the season. I wouldn't pay too much attention.
