Without actually wishing to entertain this rumour, a 1 year deal on £300kpw would 'only' set us back £15m. Beefed up a bit by agents fees, signing on etc. but it wouldn't come close to bankrupting us.

This will probably be the best 2 years ever for bookies. Doubt they will have too many payouts on Leicester winning the league, other than the odd "I stick a tenner on every season," Foxes fan. Will be nothing compared to the amount of money heaped on City, Chelsea, Utd Et. al. every season. Then next season everyone will be chucking money on their own club, saying, "there's no reason we can't 'do a Leicester'", only for it to end up being a dull 2 horse race between City and Chelsea again.

Very pleased for Burnley and Dyche. They could have so easily sacked him last year and brought in some quick fix like Redknapp or Warnock but they stuck with him. Hopefully they will spend sensibly and avoid the drop next season.

Another myth. He never got into the Liverpool team because he wasn't good enough. He was slow, he couldn't adapt to their game and without a team being built around him, he was half the player he was at Southampton. We were trying to replace him for a couple of years with J Rod, Osvaldo and Pelle (who I still think would have signed even if Lambert had stayed).
