Would be astonished if he got another playing contract and I'm not sure I'd want him as a coach either. Don't really want his suspect positioning and decision making being passed on to the next generation.
-
Seem to remember hardly anyone lasting 90 minutes last time anyway. Distinctly remember the conversation; "What's wrong Rabbit?" "Just cramp, I'll run it off." "Errr...."

I don't think I'd be sad to see anyone other than VVD, Bertrand or Forster leaving and even then I'm sure we'd replace them. Mané and Wanyama I don't think have done enough to a) attract serious interest from bigger clubs and b) command the sort of money Saints would want to part with them. I'm not saying they wont leave but whoever buys them will be getting relatively poor value for money IMO.

Indeed. I'm hoping they get a nice trip to Ukraine on a Thursday night.

They appear to be drunk, I'd say they were drinking beer as opposed to Carlsberg.
-
I'll go with that but with a point at Goodison. 8 points, 2 worse off that last season, not too shabby.

I know it's a lazy thing to say but he has basically turned them into Wigan. Capable of some brilliant stuff on their day but wildly inconsistent.

On the other hand, a Utd win would be a big step towards Leicester winning the League before we go to White Hart Lane. Between that, being guaranteed Champions League football and a few players not wanting to get injured for the Euros, might give us a better chance. Can't see us catching Utd really, even if they lost both games in hand they've still got a 3 point head start.

Just checked, as recently as 4 years ago actually when Swansea, QPR and Norwich stayed up. Pretty sure Palace and Norwich had just been promoted in 2005 though.
-
As it stands the three teams going down have a combined stadium capacity of 144,200. A bit mental really. Have all three promoted sides ever survived in the top division?
-
Ha! Sunderland have been so pedestrian though. Never at any point looked like they were throwing the kitchen sink at an equaliser.
-
Skills there from Borini.
-
SSN now interviewing Neil McCann on the matter. Christ he was sh*te.
-
Pretty much exactly my team TBH. If we start with 5 defenders and 3 defensive MF like we did yesterday, I'll be a bit miffed. I know 3 of them are coming back from injuries but that's why we have subs surely.
-
Not as good as the paintbrush shirts from 6 years ago.
-
Possibly a team of; FF, Cedric, Fonte, Virgil, Bertrand, Wanyama, Romeu, Mané, Davis, Long, Pelle Subs; SKD, Yoshi, JWP, Clasie, Tadic, Austin, J Rod

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Lighthouse replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Agree with this, airborne drones are the way forward. Never sleeping, never resting, never giving in, not caring if they get shot down, like something out of a Terminator film. If you think we live in fear, imagine what it must be like for an IS warrior, never knowing when a laser guided missile might come through the kitchen window. That's the way forward; an enemy in the sky you can't see and couldn't hurt even if you knew they were coming. Keep taking out the leaders and eventually IS will descend into chaos, fear and lose its appeal to young European Muslims. -

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

The onus is on these communities to be extra vigilant for extremist behaviour, report it and stamp it out. In an ideal world there would be no 'Muslim communities' as this implies segregation and isolation, which is what leads to fundamentalism. I'm against the idea of Muslim schools (and Christian, Jewish and other religious schools) in principle and think they should be banned, so that minorities are properly integrated into British society. -

The only way out of this mess is the relentless pursuit and elimination of all the leaders, preachers, bomb makers, training camps etc. Which breed this brand of extremism. -

There was a none-camp one? -
Despite everything were somehow only 4 points of a Champions League spot and Man City have only beaten Villa, Sunderland and Palace in the League since New Years Day. Bear in mind they've still got to come to St Mary's too, let's not give up on that dream just yet. Yes I would like Leicester to win the league but not at the expense of our own European aspirations. On the flip side I don't think I've wanted us to beat Spurs this much since that time Beattie and co. Got Hoddle sacked.

Nah, I like the JPT, it's a good chance for the smaller clubs to win a cup final and one of my favourite League 1 memories. If anything I think the League Cup should be an U-21 competition with a max of 3 overage players lowed in any given squad. That competition has always just struck me as a slightly naff 'FA Cup light' where half the clubs only put out their reserves anyway and can't really be arsed.

England kit for EURO2016 revealed - what the...?

I can't tell if it's a bad photoshop or a good oil painting. The lady on the left looks more like a Barbie than an actual human. -

Say what you like, I've heard Kane cooks a mean breakfast.
