Apparently they looked comfortable until we scored. Just like Sunderland. P.S. Proper local fan there with a thick Bristolian accent.
-
We had two stone wall penalties denied for fouls on Long, against Newcastle and Everton. These things even out.
-
"Another defeat by a s**t team!" Might want to take a look at the league table mush
-
The last time we beat Arsenal by more than one goal anyone? 2-1 in the League Cup, 3-2 when Delgado scored and the last game at the Dell are the only wins I've seen.
-
Not for me. Not when we beat Arsenal in a Champions League six pointer. Not when Man Utd drop points and are 1 point above us. Not when Liverpool are 2-0 up at home to Leicester and still f**k it up. Not when West Ham, Swansea and Newcastle all f**ked up relatively easy games. Not when Chelsea fans thought they had the League sewn up in October. Infact after Spurs the next team chasing us who won today was... Hull
-
Now you've gone and done it. Old Trafford next too.

Villa will be in trouble without Benteke, they wont sell unless somebody comes in with an obscene offer (queue Liverpool on deadline day). His wages demands will be outside of our range and he wont see us as much of a step up.

Being amongst the younger generation, Killer is the only player I've seen come close. Lovren looked like he could be that player this time last year but the second half of the season and his form for Lyon and Liverpool suggests otherwise. Would be over the moon if we can secure him permanently. More than halfway through the season and we have the best defence in the League. There aren't too many Saints players in history with that on their CV.

Dead heat at the top of the League if I've got this right. Chelsea top alphabetically.
-
I think we may be getting pushed further down the billing on MOTD.
-
He's got 4 goals and is out of contract in summer. Apart from being a Saints fan what is so good about him?
-
It was mainly the reporter saying Arsenal could have won that game and it could have gone either way, whilst Arsene talked about the Gardos yellow (which he picked up when they were already 2-0 down).
-
Clyne has had a knock and will probably be out anyway, if he isn't I wouldn't be rushing him back for this game. Bretrand yes but 3 in 10 days is still busy and I want to see more of Targett.
-
Momentum vs. rest? After 4 games in 10 games, who would you play? What will Ipswich do? We were in exactly the same position last year with Burnley and managed a narrow win. No Mane for 2 reasons. I would go with.... Forster McCarthy - Fonte - Gardos - Targett Morgan - Reed Tadic - Davis - JWP Long I'd rest Pelle, Victor, Bertrand and Clyne who have all had a busy Christmas. Should be strong enough, if we do lose I wont be too upset this season.
-
I was ridiculed at the end of last season for saying he could be the next Yaya Toure or Vieira. If he carried on like this big teams will be all over him in summer. Good that we've exorcised the 'Morgan is vital to our team' demon too. Today and Everton, 2 wins, 5 goals, none conceded.
-
Well down the order. I'm going to guess Man City Newcastle Liverpool Saints Stoke Hull QPR West Ham Villa Spurs Chelsea likely to go above us too with anything more than 1 goal.
-
Forget last season, Everton aren't in it this year. 4 points above the drop zone and leaking goals at an alarming rate.
-
Sweating, shaking, heart pounding then jumping around my flat shouting at FT. We are serious customers this season, you'd better believe it.
-
Good 'arf lads, good 'arf!
-
WTF is going on at Everton. They're going to be looking over their shoulders if they carry on like this.
-
I could tell from MLT's waving arms what had happened.

Virgin Atlantic 747 prepares for emergency landing at Gatwick
Lighthouse replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
Virgin do have previous with this. I'm afraid it was filmed with a toaster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NprTbTVl1Uk -
I think it's safe to say this hasn't been a great year for Malaysian aviation. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2891137/AirAsia-plane-carrying-153-people-overshoots-runway-Philippines-forcing-passengers-evacuate-emergency-slides.html?ito=social-facebook Relatively minor incident but still not good.

I am. The speed restriction on the landing gear is surprisingly high and they could quite conceivably have made it up to cruise altitude at a reasonable speed. Basically flying is done being indicated airspeed (IAS) which isn't actually your speed, just a measurement of pressure. The pitot probes are just measuring the amount of air moving past. At higher altitudes the air is thinner, so you need to fly faster to get the same IAS. At cruise altitudes a 737 will typically be doing 450 knots ground speed (corrected for wind) but will only have 250 knots of 'pressure' if that makes sense. The 747 is a fair bit quicker but the same principle still applies. -
Agree with this. There's no point wasting a day on the mountains learning the basics on 200 yards of piste.
