  1. Anyone got a working feed for this?
  2. What's so bad about Barnard? I had him down as better than Guly last season.
  3. Great to see Barnard, De Ridder and Judy getting starts. Hopefully they can all prove their various doubters wrong, assuming the defence holds up.
  4. I've got an inflatable Alan Rickman I hardly use any more. Not sure of its value as such, but I'm willing to donate it to the cause.
  5. Lee Barnard. Ugly f**ker, so he'd probably appreciate it more.
  6. Couple of beers, a chicken Madras and a bog roll. Got my evening sorted.
  7. Cork says he is looking forward to Tandoori singing, so I can only assume he will be involved in some capacity. Can't see the point in traveling unless all the paper work is signed off. P.S. @ Jaidi and De Ridder. Great pair of characters to have on board.
  8. Are you schizophrenic?
  9. You are refering to the OP and not what paris just posted above?
  10. Yes, although it wasn't voluntary. It was during DJ Campbell's looping header in injury time against Birmingham 5 years ago. If you were there, you will know what I mean.
  11. It's around that time of the year again. We start seeing what inovate ideas the worlds best automotive engineers can come up with. Sadly this season Caterham (Formerly lotus, not Renault the one with Kovalainen) have come up with this. I think I speak for everyone when I say, Christ on a bike that's ugly. Sadly this concept could well be the norm as the new safety regs require nose cones to be lower (something to do with side on, T-bone accidents).
  12. On the subject of RBs, what's the story with Butters? I'm guessing he is inured any idea how long for and when his contract is up. Wiki says a 1 year deal signed in 2010, so I'm guessing he has a 1 year extension until this summer.
  13. I think he's been as good as anyone recently. From most accounts it sounded like he had a decent game against Palace and he was no worst than anyone else on Monday or again Bristol. He's had some decent cameos too, like our trips to Coventry and Reading. He sprinted to the length of the pitch against Boro to set up Lambert for THAT volley which would have been goal of the season if it hadn't been saved. The whole idea of a scapegoat is that you pick on someone much worse than the other players. Steve just isn't.
  14. With Lee, Falque and Puncheon on the bus, it has to be asked. Wide men and strikers were the main priority for most people it now seems we have: Strikers: Lambert, Guly, DC, Lee, Barnard Wide men: Falque, Lallana, Steve, Holmes, Puncheon I think we're pretty well covered, although I wouldn't cry if we signed Marvin Sordell. The only other place I can see we need covering is a month loan at CB, depending on the fitness of Jos, Jose and Jaidi. Poll mods?
  15. Well, it's a clean slate as far as I'm concerned. Everyone acts like a nobber from time to time, let's hope Puncheon really has put his differences behind him.
  16. His girlfriend seems quite impressed by it.
  17. Appart from Lallana, Falque, Holmes, De Ridder and Fox there is litterally nobody who can play there.
  18. I'd go with Bart Frazer - Martin - Jaidi? - Harding Steve - Hammond - Morgan - Puncheon Lambert - Lee Depending very much on fitness and Lee's signing being complete.
  19. He ate Redknapp's dog He ate Redknapp's dooooooooog Lee Tadanari He ate Redknapp's dog
  20. I've been saying it for months and I haven't changed my mind; Connolly is one of our best players when we are playing brilliantly. If we are anything less than brilliant he goes missing. It would be unfair to pick him out for last night, although he was our worst player along with Harding IMO, however he was never going to score. Lambert, one decent cross or a free kick and we might have nicked a goal. Guly can find himself a yard of space and nick a goal when you least expect it. Other players have a bit of pace or trickery which makes them a threat, but not Connolly. If you stick it on a plate he is a good finisher (see Boro and Forest) but otherwise I don't rate him.
  21. Where's the fun in a quick and painless death. I hope they survive, but have to sell everything which isn't nailed to the floor and end up playing their kids with Darren Powell and Jermaine Wright. *Sighs and drifts off into day dream".
  22. Fair point, deluded probably is a bit strong. "Living under illusions" maybe, although that kind of amounts to the same thing I suppose. The point I'm trying to make is ART is a very long way off the mark taring us with the same brush as alpine. There are thousands of fans living outside of Hampshire who couldn't have made last nights match even if they wanted to. Many that did probably had to sit in traffic for ages on the M3, struggled to park, missed the first 20 minutes and got home at 1am on a work night after the game. That's not nice and opting to watch from the convenience of your own living room is not fickle, not by a long way.
  23. The same reason we cheer when we score. How pointless is that? The players know scoring a goal is good, so why bother jumping around shouting "Yeah! Get the f**k in!" It's about raw emotion and passion. No it's not rational, not nescessary and doesn't help the players. I can't see it knocking the players either. Anyone who can't take 5 seconds of booing after a display like that needs a good talking too. If that was me walking off the pitch I'd be thinking, "Yep. Fair enough, we were sh*te".
