  1. Think they’ve handled a very tricky situation rather poorly.
  2. As a kid i just remember being infuriated at Alan Ball's departure. Very interesting to hear all complexities surrounding his time as manager as well as all the stuff regarding his initial time with the youngsters.
  3. A 33 year old on high wages. I can see why in the current climate they would decide against a renewal until at least there's some clarity in terms of when football will restart.
  4. I'd vastly preferring voiding or deciding based on avg current points. The joy of a new season is starting fresh.
  5. This attempt by the govt to change the messaging to the meaningless 'stay alert' doesn't seem to be going down well.
  6. Seems like they caught it early fortunately.
  7. The latest BBC headline that some clubs would be more open to neutral venues if relegation was removed.. If there's not going to be relegation the restart would be even more of a joke notion.
  8. Disagree, with Stephens imo it was clear from the start he was very talented. His issue has always been cutting out stupid lapses and errors. Haven't seen anything except perhaps that one cross for Vestergaard from Danso.
  9. McCarthy Clyne - Toby - Virgil - Bertrand Morgan - Cork Mane - Davis - Tadic Lambert
  10. Curious what is going to happen with long. Before Coronavirus you would have assumed there would have likely been a renewal but one less wage to pay over this extended break if we don’t may tip the balance the other way.
  11. I’d completely forgotten we had John Burridge in goal at one point.
  12. Sergey Gotsmanov
  13. Don't get how anyone could claim Schneiderlin was only great for one season. https://www.theguardian.com/football/who-scored-blog/2020/apr/18/premier-league-players-unexpectedly-brilliant-one-season
  14. It could be applied from next month forcing those clubs to defurlough their staff.
  15. As a body can't it bring in whatever rules it sees fit and penalties for failing to comply?
  16. Predictable given the premier league didn't take any leadership role by issuing penalties to the early clubs bad behaviour. The herd then felt they were at risk of being disadvantaged.
  17. Very morally bankrupt actions from those clubs. Wonder if at some point there will be a domino effect where all clubs do it because other clubs are and they risk suffering for it if they don’t.
  18. Personally I really wouldn’t want that. Ruin possibilities of a fresh season for each team.
  19. If blackout lasts through May, makes sense not to finish the season, other than perhaps playoffs. Calling it based on current positions seems marginally better than voiding. That allows new season to start on time and delayed euros to take place next summer.
  20. Decent fight from the team in 2nd half when we had 10. Annoying that we had to hand to a toothless newcastle at the death. Mccarthy excellent. Real shame Valery had his brain fade moment after a pretty decent game. Thought Ralph should have used his bench a lot more in 2nd half. Djenepo very silly. Boufal not great either. Can we get Redmond and Armstrong back please.
  21. I like valery a lot as a player but that was a brainless decision he needs to learn from quickly.
  22. Refs probably got all the decisions right. Djenepo silly in todays day and age to leave his foot in like that. Was playing awfully beforehand too. Boufal moving his arm and it hitting him not far enough up arm to be shoulder. Though did the ref just avoid responsibility knowing var would review. Manquillo, probably a yellow. Though did var review or did ref just give yellow? Hopefully Saints stay as fired up as at the end of the half.
  23. Glad to see Valery back. Let's hope Boufal and Djenepo can fire and stay fit.
  24. Wish it was us but very pleased for Norwich
  25. If there’s no djenepo or Redmond, could Valery not be a more advanced option if boufal isn’t working out.
