Was just thinking var had had a quiet weekend.
Can’t let utd lose I guess.
Let’s just hope they consistently apply this offside interpretation going forward for all teams but you know they won’t.
Lack of desire compared to west ham was very disappointing.
No doubt they would have scored a 2nd anyway but McCarthy’s misjudgment was very annoying.
Nice goal by obafemi about the only positive.
Smallbone looks like a prospect but away to west ham was not the right setting imo.
Hopefully we get a reaction from the players after Ralph called them out on that diabolical display.
Would prefer we play one of our right backs, allowing us to go back to the first choice 2 in the middle.
Felt we were fortunate to be 1-1 but that was truly awful by mccarthy.
Nice finish by obafemi.
Some nice passing by smallbone but i'd prefer one of the right backs on & JWP tenaciousness in the middle.
Not a team we seem to do that well against. Hopefully we can put them to the sword this time.
Like to see jwp back in the middle. Hopefully Valery or kwp will be considered ready by the weekend.
A good performance but i'd like us to be more clinical.
Shame mings blocked adams effort.
Also maybe we don't want Villa to go down as we seem to play well against them
There's no point to VAR if they aren't able to address inconsistencies.
Just get rid of it till unless we get to the point where AI can implement something that is actually consistent in decision making across a season.
Burnley's a game i wouldn't have a particular issue with Vestergaard coming in for. He is quite useful when teams lump crosses into the box.
That said i can't see why we couldn't utilise valery for an hour and then KWP for final 30 (or the other way round)
I'd even prefer Stephens out there in this sort of game.
Given valery will have had several weeks of training and a run out in u23, I'd hope he'd be in contention to start.
