Was just thinking var had had a quiet weekend. Can’t let utd lose I guess. Let’s just hope they consistently apply this offside interpretation going forward for all teams but you know they won’t.
-
Lack of desire compared to west ham was very disappointing. No doubt they would have scored a 2nd anyway but McCarthy’s misjudgment was very annoying. Nice goal by obafemi about the only positive. Smallbone looks like a prospect but away to west ham was not the right setting imo.
-
Hopefully we get a reaction from the players after Ralph called them out on that diabolical display. Would prefer we play one of our right backs, allowing us to go back to the first choice 2 in the middle.
-
Hope our non turn up performance isn't a repeat of our end of season lack of effort from last season.
-
Felt we were fortunate to be 1-1 but that was truly awful by mccarthy. Nice finish by obafemi. Some nice passing by smallbone but i'd prefer one of the right backs on & JWP tenaciousness in the middle.
-
Was hoping we'd play one of the right backs. Hope Smallbone can play as well as last week. Equally Ings is a big miss.
-
Hopefully Boufal is back available if Djenepo isn't.
-
Well we are playing Newcastle the week after, so there's plenty of time for Carrollitis.

January Transfer Window - 2020 Edition

Or Valery isn’t considered fit enough to start yet(as Ralph actually said pre Burnley), as he’s been out for months -
Not a team we seem to do that well against. Hopefully we can put them to the sword this time. Like to see jwp back in the middle. Hopefully Valery or kwp will be considered ready by the weekend.

So VAR doesn't even check de bruyne handball. So when its man city or liverpool var suddenly gets shy.

Post-match reaction: Saints 2-0 Aston Villa

A good performance but i'd like us to be more clinical. Shame mings blocked adams effort. Also maybe we don't want Villa to go down as we seem to play well against them -

You are completely wrong. He played several times after that. One appalling game against Leicester doesn't equate to him generally having been poor. -
Simple yes or no...Lallana on a free in the summer?

No, burnt his bridges. Wouldn’t want to be his retirement home. -
Just hope the weather improves because team has failed to adapt to conditions anytime there's a hint of bad weather.
-
There's no point to VAR if they aren't able to address inconsistencies. Just get rid of it till unless we get to the point where AI can implement something that is actually consistent in decision making across a season.
-
VAR continuing to stink up the league I see.
-
Typical embarrassing naive saints, playing completely into Burnley hands
-
Would be Very good news but we know like Chelsea they will pay their way to revoking it.
-
Burnley's a game i wouldn't have a particular issue with Vestergaard coming in for. He is quite useful when teams lump crosses into the box. That said i can't see why we couldn't utilise valery for an hour and then KWP for final 30 (or the other way round)
-
I'd even prefer Stephens out there in this sort of game. Given valery will have had several weeks of training and a run out in u23, I'd hope he'd be in contention to start.

Yellow & Blue Striped Away Shirt!

I actually have the original at home. Not sure why i bought it as its horrid -
Thinking that jwp might not be ready if the cut was that bad. Also think against Burnley I'd want a right back who is decent aerially rather than debutting kwp. Rest of the team sort of picks itself imo Also fingers crossed the weather improves. Want no repeat of conditions that clearly suited Burnley in the opening game of the season McCarthy Valery Stephens bednarek Bertrand Romeu hojberg Armstrong Redmond Long ings

At 1-1 i thought it was going to be perfect result for Saints, though at least palace didn't win.
