Interesting to see how he does there. There seems to have been a spate of 5hem going out, is it a change in development tactics or giving up on this season’s u23 campaign. -
Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal

Decent deal for saints for a player who was leaving regardless. He’s a very steady average unspectacular right back which is I guess what arsenal want for cover for bellerin freeing maitland niles to play where he wants. Cedric gets to audition for a permanent move rather than sit on our bench. We get give game time to Valery or audition a young player we might bid for in the summer -
5th choice center back 3rd or 4th choice right back 3rd choice left back

Is there another club with 4 of its top 10 record transfers on loan. Another 3 regularly on the bench. That leaves 2 sold and only Danny ings who we bought this season in the regular starting xi -

For whatever reason he seems to have drifted this season Hopefully a good move for his development. -

I can't believe we would not have spoken to him in the last 12 months regarding extending. I can't see us selling him now but summer is a probably a very different story if we can't get it extended. -

I don't see him quitting. We're raising his profile as he hoped. Think odds are he will be here at start of next season -

Yeah I always assumed that 35m was gambling next year's tv money/parachute payment. -
As much as it would be nice to be the ones to break their run, I just hope we get through it unscathed. Beating spurs is a much bigger priority.
-
It would hardly be a surprise. We only play 2 at the back now, he's only impressed enough to be rolled out as a makeshift fullback on rare occasions.
-
Exactly we've got Valery back fit, a more versatile right back in KWP alongside Vokins having made an impression during his debut. That gives us 3/4 specialist options at fullback for under half a season. The 3rd right back on on high wages, the manager has never really fancied, who's contract is soon up, who's currently injured perhaps being surplus to requirement isn't a shock
-
Valery's last appearance was in the 2-1 win against Watford, his last start was in the narrow 2-1 loss to Man City Given both have been injured it and lack match practice it might be wise to involve both, replacing one after an hour with the other depending on which looks better to ralph in training.

Except the other week when he said Valery earlier return meant that maybe we didn't. -

I can’t see us bringing in another fullback over the heads of kwp and Valery especially given the big deal made about kwp also being able to play left back. Personally i’d Like to see a loan cm if there’s going to be anyone else. -
How did you get your stats. We’ve lost 11 games in league. Cedric has played in 5 losses.(wolves, west ham, Newcastle, Everton & Bournemouth). We beat Brighton after losing first 2 games. That leaves 4 losses.(man city, Leicester, Chelsea & spurs)It also excludes the fact we won 2-0 after he went off in the palace game.
-
My guess is we were originally in for kwp because we thought Valery was out for longer.
-
Glad I was organized and got mine earlier
-
is kwp fit to play / is there enough time to get him up to speed if he is
-
My guess is 1 rb to compete with Valery 1 lb if Bertrand leaves. 1 center back for yoshi. Cheap young 4th choice/or promote internally if vest leaves 1 cm / 2 if we lose hojberg 1 striker if long or Adams leaves
-
Seems reasonable to me. Move on a player the manager has never overly fancied who was leaving in the summer anyway and who is injured. Even if it’s not 5m saved once you factor in kwp lower wages and loan fee it will help in the summer given we’ve an owner with no money.

We may not be paying all of kwp wages though and he's no doubt on lower wages anyway. -

Cedric leaving probably had a lot to do with how we managed to win race for kwp over others. -
Given his lack of games probably didn't want to be stiffed with obligation to buy for a big fee and levy probably didn't want to give us simple option to buy. From the sounds he's more versatile on the left than cedricwhich will help. If valery returns looking sharp and bertrand stays fit I'd hope kwp spends most of his time warming the bench cushions.
