Think it'll be Bazanu, KWP, Kotchap, Bedanrek, Salisu, Djenepo, Lavia, JWP, Aribo, Armstrong, Armstrong Personally i'd prefer to see any cb over bednarek but preferably Lyanco & would prefer Adams up front

See the Guardian's combined prediction has us 17th. Premier League 2022-23 preview No 17: Southampton | Football | The Guardian

Not the op but Having a higher first choice striker of 3 recognized strikers plus the additional versatile players Ralph likes to use there seems preferable to 4 depth of less quality
-
As long as 1 4 1 replacement contributed more goals it could feel like the right move.
-
I very much assume the club would need to bring in anyone decent. The only people outside crown jewels I see that we might potentially get real money for is Adams or bednarek(& unfortunately it has gone completely quiet on bednarek) I don't see the need 4 2 strikers if sign a quality first team striker. Our current problem isn't numbers it is quality. So a decent hardworking support striker like adams with mediocre finishing looks more prunable than the alternative.
-
Guess that answers the questions as to whether Ramsay/Vokins/Ferry would play any role in covering our shortage at full back.
-
We've already signed Aribo/Mara you'd assume to replace Broja's goals. Adams wouldn't be the first name i'd be looking to shift on but neither is he the cream (KWP/JWP etc) that i would completely baulk at selling. We need to bring in a first choice striker & you'd think we're likely going to need to generate funds from someone like Bednarek or Adams to do so.

That's a relief.

I quite like Che's contribution/attributes (though i don't think he's going to develop into someone prolific ever). Not sure he's among ralph's favourites though. Now is probably the peak point to sell him if we are open to doing so. Extra jeopardy though is idea of selling him to someone directly competing with us. Guess if it happens the club think with that money they can get an upgrade enabling them not having to bring in 2 strikers.

Curious to see if it'll spark any increase in domestic attendances (which is where the women's game needs to find an audience ) Tournaments/cup finals will always pull in the audiences.

That was hypothetical. Now it's happened. See if there's a load of pressure. Not like this govt doesn't like a U-turn. Surely an easy feel good factor for the publicity hound on his way out.
-
Wonder if there's any hope of pressure on the govt to give people a public holiday.

Well Done England. Pretty even game on the whole but England once again clinical with their chances. No doubt celebtration will make some headlines, no reason women should have to be restrained in shirt terms as far as i'm concerned. Did wonder if Germany were going to be made pay for giving away that very needless corner.
-
To be fair the worst decision went against Germany, when Daly kicked the German player & got a free kick.
-
Don't see it as at all disappointing. If he goes to Stoke it's because Man City think developmentally that's the best place for him. Don't see a loan being that appealing to Saints either. Broja had had a season in Holland before us & even then he was not the finished product.

Where do we need to strengthen the most?

Don't see us bringing in another CB, even if i feel including simeu in any list(to make 7) feels rather misleading. 5 first team CB is more than enough & we currently have 6. Main priority IMO should be adding real express pace in attacking area. We've only got Tella currently. Someone like Cornet(who can play up front or attacking mid) would be ideal but seems he might be going elsewhere Only other signing i could see us doing is a loan at FB. We need short term cover there. Think there would be concern if we end up relying on 2 of Djenepo/Valery/Ramsay/Ferry as cover for KWP & Perraud. -
That first goal was truly horrendous. Poor initially by midfielder (Lavia?), then Salisu completely switches off his man, with Bednarek fresh air swipe for the bonus.

Sekou Mara - Official: Signs for Strasbourg

I think the 'He's got some qualities on the ball' sounds a bit odd(& slightly negative). Probably just a 2nd language thing. -
That ship has sailed. Also we've currently got 6 CB's. Even if we manage to get shot of the poor Bednarek i wouldn't have thought we need more than 5.To be fair we seem to have got a very highly rated player in B-K. Just got to cross fingers and hope he, Salisu & Bazanu can do something together.
-
I can't see anything other than a Spurs win. If we're going 5 at the back, i really hope Lyanco starts over the poor Bednarek. I also can't say i'm a fan of the 1 up front (alongside 5 at the back). So i'd much rather see Adams & A.Armstrong lining up.

Thing i noticed in Spanish game where england were thoroughly outplayed for portions of the game and again today is the difference in finishing quality from England. Sweden with a glorious chance one on one with the keeper and the striker struggled to properly connect with the finish whereas both the stanway and mead finishes were drilled finishes.
-
Barcelona need to get players off their wage bill so they can get under spanish FFP(don't they?) Could be a reasonable ST loan. At least give JWP someone to aim at from set pieces.

Think we looked like we miht have improved at the back. In an attacking sense we are very weak and lack goals. It seems like we still have business to do in this area. The mid-season break may help as the one recent time we had one(Covid), ralph managed to get the team to finish the season on a high rather than his more common lose every game approach. I'll go optmistic and say 11th because the thought of another drab drip over the stay up line is too depressing for words.
