Lyanco, livramento and perraud have been a good buys for the money broja a decent loan signing. Walcott a free that didn’t work out. armstrong is clearly the big issue given the size of the fee. If he doesn’t turn things around it makes it more of a steady window than a good one.

Hardly, We made the playoffs. Still bemused it took saints so long after his fa cup final appearance to give Baird a run in the team. we were shit when Andrew Davies won it despite only playing half a season.

I hope whoever we sign eclipses mccarthy's performances. However, McCarthy's been first choice for multiple year's and the sky hasn't fallen in so response seems hyperbolic. He's a serviceable prem keeper.

It's not a shock we are going to move on towards a younger less expensive keeper. I hope by younger they mean 24/26 not 20/22.

Well the adams one would have been on a plate if he hadn't thrown himself on the floor in the 1st place. But yeah i do agree we didn't create a wealth of great chances for them from our spells on top of the game.

Long had a shot at top corner(when he probably should have passed to tella). He also had the one where he took way too long over and got tackled(when he likely was wrongly called offside). Adams had the early chance for the rebound from Livramento's shot.

Happy with the spirited comeback. Much better 2nd half display. We still look really fragile defensively(the disallowed goal for instance) Really happy to see Tella back starting. Caused them problems with his direct pacy running and involved in both our goals. A shame he cramped up when we were pushing for the third. Lovely goals from JWP and a good all round display from him. Adams was a real presence up front too.

Was it livramento's knee or his ankle he's done? CB's haven't been great again. Romeu has been awful today again too. Need to get diallo on for him. Pace, That's why we need to play Tella more often. Adams has looked good. Just a shame he didn't stay on his feet before the early rebound chance.

Watching Utd struggling is at least a small silver lining to the pain of Saints giving up on the season in March.

I think as a squad we're comparable with the other teams battling for 10th in terms of quality with an underperforming Leicester leaving 9th door ajar. Unfortunately as has been shown once the desire & effort goes quality is all for naught.

Personally i've been far more impressed with Lyanco's limited appearances this season than with Bednarek's. Lyanco wasn't great on wednesday but nor was bednarek. To be honest was surprised lyanco played 2 games in 6 days after being out so long.

For me the main needs are Gk(we’ve only one under contract), DM (our only one is over 30 and needs refreshing) & striker (we’ll be losing both broja & long with Armstrong having struggled to adapt too) i also think 10 is important( personally I like Armstrong and I like tella. You’d hope we could shift a couple of djenepo/Walcott/Redmond/ elyounessi I don’t see cb that high on the list unless we sell salisu(I hope not), we sell bednarek(yes please)

It doesn't get that message across at all. It sends a mccartyite message of coming after people based on ancestry. Russian media won't even have to spin it as punishing someone for sin of being born in russia when not even representing Russia is going to engender outrage.
