  1. Yup i saw that. Sadly Andrew Neil is one of the last of a dying breed. The country is heading the way of Labour and the snowflake generation.
  2. I am so bored by the economic arguments because both sides just treat examples in isolation and use them in petty arguments. The truth is that nobody really knows and both sides have their own agendas. The truth is, do you believe in a sovereign UK democracy, or do you want your country and your children to be governed by European bureaucrats. That was the only certainty anyone should have voted on.

Honestly, I have no real idea! There is some description in the thread dangermouth posted: https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=336191.160 But skimming it is not sufficient to understand; I tried that already
  4. Be interesting to see how we do against a side that does more than just park the bus. I thought we were unlucky against united. Hopeful for a good game at least! Burnley was particularly dire

7 clubs finishing below 38 points, with us 3rd from bottom. Why is it posted to this thread though? https://i.imgur.com/C4obzXl.png So Crystal Palace, Swansea and us to get relegated on that chap's workings. I agree with 2 of them.

You are wrong in the first sentence. Les Reed did not oversee our rise through the leagues, NC and ML did. Its a farcical claim that really needs to be laid to rest. The core of our promotion squad (and source of all our upwards momentum) was at the club before Reed ever joined saints!! And all of that core cited the importance of Cortese at some point over this period. The cult of Reed really need to stop trying to take credit for the actions of those who came before him; he is bad enough at that himself. It like the claim that Les Reed took Poch to saints. Just utterly farcical rewriting of history. Lallana, Hammond, Fonte, Lambert, Kelvin, Morgan, Puncheon, Harding... you can go on and on! But these players all joined saints before Les Reed or the current board. Stop claiming this man was pivotal in our rise. He wasn't. His major achievements have been losing the best two managers we've had in the premier league (granted he hired one), dismantled both their teams, lied to the fanbase regarding players sales, convincing some of the fanbase that he was pivotal in our rise, and managing to take credit for everything his predecessors laid in place. Not a great track record. And oh, yeah, we came 6th... Imagine where we'd have come if we'd kept NC and Poch!

No, but it was one of desperation. "Please buy season tickets, we promise not to sell anyone"...
  8. You really don't need to exaggerate the point, most saints fans have clocked on by now.
  9. This was the point i was trying to make. Cork wanted to be here but the club bowed down to two players that didn't and which we were on the verge of selling anyway. Should have kept cork and moved on the other two. Short sighted strat which has left us with a team lacking fight and with only a smattering of loyal club men in the team.
  10. Just been called up to the england squad. Very pleased for him. Another one we let go at the expense of big egos with no loyalty. Club strat seriously needs a looking into.
  11. I don't really care if we change our higher management, or if they radically improve the way we do things. Just do one of them please.
  12. To be blunt, our problems lie at board level. Not at manager level. Was the same for Puel as it is for MoPe. Koeman just had a bigger ego and balls to deal with it all. Or did I miss the others dropping Tadic etc...
  13. Its not mixed success. Wanyama and Pelle were better as a CDM/Striker for us (respectively) than Romeu and Austin. I like Romeu a lot, but that is rose tinted spectacles to say he is a better CDM than Wanyama was/is; he was immense for us. If anything, Romeu has more of the MS about him.
  14. Wow. This is perhaps the biggest rewrite of history I've seen in recent years.
  15. He's off. Anyone who reads that and doesn't see he has been promised his move is incredibly stupid.
  16. I'd give him a shot, but think he needs to take some time tbh; been under ridiculous stress.
  17. Feel a bit for Morgan.... But then he kicked up a fuss over a big move, showed limited loyalty to saints, and got some mega money...
  18. Unfortunately I disagree. The club had momentum prior to that change. We have completley lost it in its absence. What we achieved after NC and MoPo left is not what we would have achieved with them here. Yet we still rode the crest of that momentum and finished strongly under Koeman. What follows thereafter is failure after failure and an ever worsening outlook as a club. Something needs to change, or we will limp on like this before joining many a mid table club that has dabbled at the top end before eventual mid table apathy and relegation. That is my thoughts anyway, and its all in the past so nothing anyone can do about it.

I think so. Frustrates me that some fans are so quick to turn on the players and/or manager; whilst leave the true head remains unscathed of any criticism. The classic comment from this weekend being that James Warde Prowse isn't good enough for a Championship club; we really do have some right nob jockeys for fans.

    Yeah.
  22. Yes, he was our best ever manager in the prem era, and almost got us CL footy... Then him and Les had a billy big balls falling out and this **** started...
  23. Les Reed out at regardless at this point. I for one would take Koeman back. He fell out with Uncle Les which isn't a great sign. But a manager who ****es off and then actually drops tadic gets my vote anyday!

    The Last Post

It was shocking. I worry about modern Britain when they either can't understand "a 1 minutes silence will follow the last post", or they knowingly disrespect the fallen. It was an utter disgrace. That said I saw hardly any poppies on display so maybe I am in the minority.
  25. There is rubbish and then their is utter bull****, but if people want to make themselves look like bitter pompey fools in public then go for it I guess... Seriously. Do you not understand why he was put on the field at that moment?
