Feel a bit for Morgan.... But then he kicked up a fuss over a big move, showed limited loyalty to saints, and got some mega money...

Unfortunately I disagree. The club had momentum prior to that change. We have completley lost it in its absence. What we achieved after NC and MoPo left is not what we would have achieved with them here. Yet we still rode the crest of that momentum and finished strongly under Koeman. What follows thereafter is failure after failure and an ever worsening outlook as a club. Something needs to change, or we will limp on like this before joining many a mid table club that has dabbled at the top end before eventual mid table apathy and relegation. That is my thoughts anyway, and its all in the past so nothing anyone can do about it.

Where did it all start to go wrong? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/15/nicola-cortese-southampton-exit-manager

I think so. Frustrates me that some fans are so quick to turn on the players and/or manager; whilst leave the true head remains unscathed of any criticism. The classic comment from this weekend being that James Warde Prowse isn't good enough for a Championship club; we really do have some right nob jockeys for fans.

Yes, he was our best ever manager in the prem era, and almost got us CL footy... Then him and Les had a billy big balls falling out and this **** started...
-
Les Reed out at regardless at this point. I for one would take Koeman back. He fell out with Uncle Les which isn't a great sign. But a manager who ****es off and then actually drops tadic gets my vote anyday!

It was shocking. I worry about modern Britain when they either can't understand "a 1 minutes silence will follow the last post", or they knowingly disrespect the fallen. It was an utter disgrace. That said I saw hardly any poppies on display so maybe I am in the minority.
-
There is rubbish and then their is utter bull****, but if people want to make themselves look like bitter pompey fools in public then go for it I guess... Seriously. Do you not understand why he was put on the field at that moment?
-
I'm going to this one. So 0-0 or 0-1.
-
Pedro or one of the city goals will win. Kidding ourselves if you think otherwise. He didn't it hard enough (or get it in the corners) to win goal of the month. And to be fair, that Pedro goal is frankly Exquisite.

Saints were in turmoil 8-10 years ago. Is it really surprising that our current 16-18year olds are not what they once were?
-
Jose and Pep have only ever had superstar teams or the money to buy them. Poch's teams are as good as those teams, but without the hundreds of millions that were spent. They also play cracking footy, and he develops youth players. He is a fantastic manager, and for me he is easily one of the best in the prem and the world. We'll have people arguing that pellegrini, Ranieri and mancini are better managers if we persist with this "trophies = greatness" argument.
-
He is arguably the best manager in the prem; and one of the best in the world as a result.
-
Fine, disagree; but lets keep this thread for praising the man for his contributions
-
I know a lot of our "fans" like to moan and attack him. But hopefully we can all agree that he truly deserves this and wish him congratulations. I personally think he is an outstanding professional and one of our best players.
-
I agree Billy. MP clearly has the abilities and intelligence. We just have a bunch of impatient children for fans that want us to play like Barcelona and be served up instant success. Given where we were 7years ago I think some serious perspective is needed; we have a good manager and he will prove it!
-
Yeah, but we have Gabbi.

That is the Chinese flag... https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=chinese+flag&oq=chinese+flag&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.2615j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Seriously.

So in summary, an embarrassing nonsense thread?
-
Is Bristol a derby... No. And nor is Brighton.
-
For me Poch is the better manager. Pep struggled massively with city last year, and failed to match any expectations set for him. The solution - chuck shed loads of dosh around all over the place to get the players and buy success. Pep has been to Bayern, Barca and City - and he has had the league's best squad at each of them. Poch has never had those luxuries and yet his team is still on par with pep's. Poch is the better manager.

What does Brighton being a "good" (debateable) city have to do with this being a hard game... Do you think we'll struggle to bring are A game because we're going to the PRIDE capital of the world?
-
I left before the lap of appreciation, and that was my final game as a season ticket holder. I don't boo our own, nor do I think Puel deserved that. But the football under him was completley dire and its not surprising he wasn't popular with Northam.
