  1. Hope he gets it. Great man, great manager. Good fit.
  2. Load of rubbish. 6 goals, numerous assists. Silly comment.
  3. He had an off gay today, but not that bad, so what? He has been great ever since he has come into our defence. And he hasn't been poor for the last few games, he was outstanding at Cardiff.
  4. Each game I see, I seem to have a new 'worst ref'. They just get worse and worse. Abysmal.
  5. Excellent post.
  6. Researched these myself, so they could be wrong but hope they are correct. I know we all believe our defence is weak without Fonte and Lovren playing together, and it certainly is: Hooiveld + Fox playing together in the PL: Games: 12 Wins: 1 Draws: 4 Defeats: 7 Points: 7 out of 36 Clean Sheets: 1 (vs Swansea away) Goals Conceded: 26 Win %: 8.3% Loss %: 58.3% Avg goals conceded per game: 2.17 Lovren + Fonte playing together: Games: 13 Wins: 6 Draws: 5 Defeats: 2 Points: 23 out of 39 Clean Sheets: 6 Goals Conceded: 9 Win %: 46.2% Loss %: 15.4% Avg goals conceded per game: 0.69 When they aren't playing together: Games: 4 Wins: 0 Draws: 1 Defeats: 3 Points: 1 out of 12 Clean Sheets: 0 Goals Conceded: 9 Win %: 0 Loss%: 75% Avg goals conceded per game: 2.25 Interesting seeing the actual stats compared I thought.
  7. Dear, dear, dear.
  8. He actually wasn't that bad today. Hooiveld was far, far worse, as was Gazza.
  9. Cardiff fans awesome. Still in Anfield. Credit to football.
  10. Is this a serious thread? Crazy, the boy is quality.
  11. AVB sacked.
  12. Great point after an awfully flat performance in the 1st half. Lallana should have started, but they are a decent team in great form.
  13. Not Artur then? Damn. At least that would have been some justification for his error on Saturday.
  14. I thought he had a pretty decent first half and didn't give in to the 'dirty' Arsenal tactics of throwing themselves on the floor and pretending they are dead, and he managed to ignore the moaning Arsenal fans who appealed for everything. He should have booked Wilshere for an absolutely blatant dive in the middle of the pitch (can't remember whether it was 1st or second half), but his second half performance was bloody awful. Every decision went against us. Big Victor must have been fouled about 20 times, with no bookings for them and when he made a late tackle, he was booked straight away. There was also a poor tackle on Schneiders that went unnoticed. I don't expect them to get every decision right, I do expect them to get most of them right, and to be consistent.
  15. Get a decent set of officials, stamp out diving and cheating (like we see from Wilshere every game) then you may get a swear free football match. Unless Artur does another howler of course.
  16. Been mentioned by many already, but that David Norris goal at St Marys was a sickener. I have never seen any of the goals from that game since, as I refused to watch any highlights. Still, just over a year later, and look where both teams are, 81 places between us.
  17. She had an average performance. Bit patronising to make a thread about it though. If she wasn't a woman, nobody would have even thought about it.
  18. No he wasn't laughing at that, he was laughing at Dejan Lovren's reaction to our result. He tweeted '****' with an unhappy face.
  19. I know why so many people are anti-Ramirez, because they see 10 other players on the pitch, working their socks off and then they see a guy walking around thinking he can spend about half an hour on the ball. It doesn't happen like that in the PL. I was one of the people who said he has undoubted quality and will come good, but it has been 15 months since he joined, and we haven't seen anything from him to be honest. We lost all our attacking impetus when we took Jay Rod off and put him on yesterday. He is a very frustrating player.
  20. Thought we controlled the game again yesterday, and we really look a proper good team now. Big Vic and Schneiders were excellent, as was Clyne I thought. Nothing Artur could do about that goal, the wind was ridiculous at the Britannia. I was in row 5, and was nearly blown over the seat in front. Very tough conditions to defend against, and we did ever so well to continue playing our football. The goal was a superb bit of play. Fair play to Artur though. Despite the fact most of us felt he couldn't do anything about the goal, he responded well, kept his head and made a decent save second half. He apologised to the fans at half time and full time, but this guy has won us so many points already. Plus, he came out and faced the media and didn't hide away. Top guy and top keeper.
  21. Why the negativity? We just got a great point away at Old Trafford and played really well, but still we get these downbeat threads. Osvaldo tried hard, it didn't happen for him today, but he didn't do that intentionally. Let's enjoy this result please.

  23. He said that he wanted to get back into management quickly after Charlton, even if that meant going to a club that was in a division like we were. He was asked about Rickie and he said that Cortese was a 'tough chairman, and that was the most positive he could be about him' and questioned whether he seriously wanted us to spend £1m on a 27 year old. He said he wanted to sign Rickie when he was manager of Charlton and felt he had something special to offer us despite the fact Pardew saw Rickie as a "fat man" who spent to much time in Blackpool and needed to lay off the pies! It was all good natured obviously, and said Rickie adjusted his lifestyle so, so quickly and he couldn't have wished it to happen to a nicer man than him. He said it is a great story of English football in the last 10 years. Pardew also said it wasn't just Rickie who is great for us, and mentioned Lallana and the fact that he is very proud of the job he did, and the side he left with us. I agree.
  24. Pards on goals on sunday. Skysports 1, Saints talk after the break. This hasn't anything to do with this thread, but didn't want to start a new thread on it.
