  1. Terrific night. Really well presented, put together, and very entertaining. The man deserved such a tribute night, despite his modesty. Great to see Lawrie, Chris Nicholls and Franny again. Excellent tributes from Sir Alex and Xavi too.
  2. Wilshere is no Zidane, and never will be. I think he should listen to his manager and not start trying to defend himself. He gets paid that much a week to work hard on the training ground and give his best in matches. He needs to be in the best shape possible and that includes not smoking or abusing your body/health in any other way. Many people would happily swap positions with him.
  3. Great player for us. Doesn't get mentioned enough when it comes to bringing players into the side. Ramirez is always mentioned, as is Cork, but Davis is Mr consistent, and will do the job asked of him no problem. Last week in his 20 mins at Anfield, he was superb.
  4. Scored a good goal, had a few decent efforts, but his effort is still poor. He usually walks or jogs around midfield and dithers on the ball too much before deciding what to do with it. He still doesn't look like a £12m player.
  5. Agreed. Davis was fantastic.
  6. Thought Jay Rod was really subdued yesterday. Barely noticed he was playing.
  7. Boruc Clyne Lovren Fonte Shaw Schneiderlin Wanyama Cork Rodriguez Lambert Osvaldo
  8. Why does everyone want to drop Rickie? Beyond belief how quickly people change their opinions. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
  9. Osvaldo played well I thought and was looking for the ball all the time. He also played some nice passes but our first touch was shocking today. He would have been frustrated today.
  10. That's a solid starting XI. Noble, Diame and Nolan are all consistent performers and have good PL experience, whereas Jarvis and Vaz Te offer them decent pace down the flanks. Will be tough. I would play: Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw Wanyama Schneiderlin Lallana Osvaldo Lambert Rodriguez
  11. What a load of garbage. Complete rubbish, but unsurprising. These journos have been waiting for an opportunity to put Rickie down. **** off I say.
  12. Not necessarily what he wrote, but who said it. Samuels is a fat clueless idiot.
  13. Downing out injured as well then. We will be expecting to win, but it won't be easy.
  14. That is ridiculous from the club. Pathetically stupid policy. It was the same with the season ticket renewal system over the summer - very inconsistent. I have sat in the Family section for the last 12 seasons, with 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). When we first went, the kids were 9 and 7, and now are 20 and 18. This season we found difficulty renewing after being told online that to have a ticket in the 'family' section, adult tickets must be bought with an under 18. Of course, the youngest is now 18, so doesn't meet the criteria. Suddenly, we have stopped becoming a family in the eyes of the club because our kids are over the age of 17. They seemingly prefer younger children, who have cheaper tickets and therefore less revenue for the club, who in my experience in our section are more interested in playing their game boys rather than watching the game. That of course doesn't apply to all young children. However, when we went to the ticket office, we managed to renew our seats for this season. But, the people sitting next to me, an adult and his 18 year old son, were refused. They now sit in the in the Kingsland stand, with an added cost of £250 each to move. It is a ludicrous system and doesn't reward loyalty, because these two have been going since we were relegated to League One, so that cannot be questioned. The irony of it all is now sitting next me, with new season tickets, is a different man and, guess what, his 18 year old son. Crazy.
  15. I just got on it. I used Safari and Google Chrome on a Mac and both worked fine. Sorry, as this doesn't really help you.
  16. Have to say, I agree totally with your Home team, and understand your away side. However, I would still have Rickie in there, with perhaps Lallana dropping out, although he has played really well in the last 2 games. It is a tough choice for Poch.
  17. Lukaku has signed for Everton. Confirmation to follow.
  18. Seems fair from our end. If a club wants him, they have to pay for him.
  19. Sat next to these two for the last 5 years, but had to move this year because the ticket office got funny. Good luck to them.
  20. Yep I agree with this. Laboured is the word I used when watching the last 20 mins.
  21. I agree with your title, we need pace, but the rest is just the rubbish that people come out with after a defeat. Take some time, reflect, and you'll realise thing aren't that bad. We lost one game of football.
  22. Ben Smith from the BBC, a pretty reliable source who is close to Liverpool, thinks Moses to Anfield is very likely. Player keen, Liverpool keen, over to Chelsea.
  23. Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Lambert for the striker positions.
  24. Another Pablo Daniel, where have we heard that before?
  25. Worst referee I've seen at St Mary's in 3 months.
