  1. "Real football" to me is something that's founded in a local community and culture. The money coming into the game has eroded that.
  2. Who cares? They've found their level and if they leave it, it'll only be temporary.
  3. That Reece James though. I can understand why they don't need Livramento.
  4. Not sure they're entirely happy with him, to be honest. "I have not seen a Pompey away crowd turn on the players like that for a long time, singing stuff like ‘Stuck in League One forever’. Danny Cowley was stood in the centre circle clapping everybody, but was getting so much abuse." https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/gaffer-portsmouth-players-are-going-through-the-motions-and-deserved-the-crowd-turning-on-them-3648214
  5. Stevie G is happy to offload Ings, according to the Mirror, who speculate that he could make a return to the South Coast https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-summer-transfer-plans-26675697
  6. I'd be sorry to see Nathan leave, he was our best player a couple of seasons ago.
  7. Other clubs will have financial issues - I love Shane, but I find it hard to believe there won't be better bargains around than him
  8. That's 2 full games without a shot on target - they're on a roll

    Ross Wilson

They just mention that because there's a Rangers connection, not because it's supposed to be the greatest deal he's ever done. Also, it's pretty clear that Carillo was a Pellegrino purchase. Pellegrino was an utter disaster, and I guess Ross is probably the person to blame for that.
  10. I too thought they were pretty decent against Liverpool - it'll be a tough game
  11. Very weak bench
  12. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10455975/Ollie-Tanner-Tottenham-fans-brand-club-joke-failing-agree-terms-non-league-star.html We're mentioned as having an interest in this bloke
  13. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/60125527 Their new North Stand is all set and ready to go if only the Council would do their bit and build a new railway bridge. 🤣🤣🤣
  14. It was still a random hoof. His kicking was poor, I thought. His keeping at corners was some of the worst I've ever seen.
  15. Walcott!!!! Bednarek!!! FFS
  16. His contract isn't running down, it's January and we're short on cover in his position. So "a lot," I'd hope.
  17. Their stadium is special, says Neil Allen, in an "article" consisting of quotes dragged from his dubious books. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/in-their-own-words-why-sir-alex-ferguson-thierry-henry-jose-mourinho-benjani-ralph-hasenhuttl-co-love-portsmouths-fratton-park-3506064
  18. If he did, they didn't announce it
  19. McCarthy has been stalling on signing a new contract. I wouldn't be surprised if we let him go and bring in a new keeper with Caballero as backup.
  20. A notorious miser?
  21. No Webster or Lallana for them. Who will we boo?
  22. Decent again yesterday, I thought
  23. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19702087.managerial-sackings-reshape-longest-serving-list-england/
  24. This reads like a parody. I particularly the line about Portsmouth's "infamous landmarks". https://www.hampshirelive.news/news/hampshire-news/portsmouth-ranked-alongside-new-york-6165315
