Just said something similar on another thread. I actually think he could do with dropping. The rest will probably do him good - he has barely had one for four years, and maybe getting dropped will give him a kick up the arse. To repeat myself again, I'm keen to see Ossie with Gaston playing off him, especially at home.

I said this at the tail end of last season, and it didn't quite happen. The last two games though, we have made chances. If it wasn't for two very good goalkeeping displays, we'd have scored 4-6 goals over the two games. That said though, there are plenty of good keepers in this league, so the finishing does need to improve. I'm less worried by this, than in the Sunderland and Norwich games, where we largely failed to create. It's strange how much better suited we are to playing teams like Liverpool, I.e. teams that don't come out to play with 10 men behind the ball. Though giving our managers playing preference, it's not all that surprising. Keen for ossie to score, he's clearly got the goals I him, I feel once he gets the monkey off his back he will go on a good run. Would be keen to see him and Gaston play together. I think that means making the tough choice of dropping Rickie, but I think really we all know deep down he hasn't been at it for a while, maybe the rest will do him good. Nice to see the pressing game back, 'pool didn't have a clue how to cope. The threat this tactic can pose was blindingly obvious yesterday.

How can Barry and Turkish position themselves as the bastions of truth and reason when they have no one to rebel against? Look at any of their repetitive posts and it is always the same. They are arguing against their own imagination. "You couldn't make it up" - nope, but you guys certainly can.

The thing is, any sensible person that read that thread could see it was about one person that said it. You and Turkish may try and use that to say "all saints fans/the whole of TSW" are deluded, but it really doesn't quite work like that.

Yet the hissyfits you threw everytime we lost a game, or that we were going to blow promotion. You really are never happy are you? I also really hated the wins against City, Liverpool & Chelsea. It made me long for the days of being beaten by Rochdale at home.

I did yeah, it is an interesting dynamic. The thing is, musically, Carl is the more talented one. He taught Pete to play guitar - hence the "teach me how to play guitar" lyric in Can't Stand Me Now, but yeah as a songwriter/general rockstar Pete is streets ahead. Probably part of the reason The Libs will always be better than either of the side projects.

Not alot, it was one of those surreal "did that really just happen" kind of moments. Plus there was a fair few people with him (mostly skag head looking types) and just the two of us. He did look completely out of it to be fair. But, still not exactly nice. Also shatters the illusion of your hero a bit.

See I met him brielfy too, outside The Hawley Arms in Camden, he asked for a fag I told him I didn't have any so he spat on me. Maybe part of it is my fault, as a teen I basically worshipped The Libertines, which was always going to end badly. Part of my frustration is that he is so talented, by also such a let down. As I said I saw 'Shambles at Brixton and it was great, and The Libs reunion show at The Forum was incredible. But for that, there was his solo gig where he turned up 2 hours late and could barely stand, open his eyes, or speak. Or the gig in Manchester, where I trekked across from Leeds, for him to pull out 10 minutes before stage time due to 'illness', which turned out to be a massive load of smack.

Seriously, where is Nicci C's number? UJ needs to be on board. It's just that simple! No one disagrees it would be good in an ideal world if all business was done before July 1st or when players are back for pre-season. But the reality is the market does not work like that. As I keep trying to tell Alpine, you only need to see how much happens in the last week/day/hour of the window to see that. Whilst the window is open after the season starts, this will always happen. Also, could you imagine how people, probably you included, if the club kept just swapping targets if the transfer didn't happen in a day like some people seem to think they all do.
