  1. Blimey, decent day for new releases. Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's new album is out too!
  2. I love that his reaction to a mistake like that is to smack himself round the chops about 10 times. Absolute header, like all the best keepers. Breeds the confidence that spreads through the defence. In him, Lovren & Big Vic we have an extremely strong defensive spine.
  3. Sleigh Bells new album out today. One way of clearing off the cobwebs on a Monday morning. [video=youtube;Cr-ahiFDkts]
  4. Holland had Poortvliet (lol) Arsenal had Vieira Barca have Busquests We have Big Vic
  5. Look at the still in the Miley Video in your post. I think that is what she is referring to. Something about her dog dying or something, so those tears are just so real.
  6. Haha, we've all done similar I'm sure.
  7. I think fans get too hung up on fees at times. I know it sounds ridiculous, and yes it is ridiculous. But let's be honest, Football is ridiculous. It's a soap opera for men really. We need to move on a bit from when we were last in the prem, or even from the recent years in League 1 and the Championship. The money from TV deals, sponsorship etc is so far removed from reality is untrue. A £12m signing in 2013 is not a £12m from 2005, its not even the same as it was in 2010. I know that sounds silly, but what I mean by this is, with the latest TV deal increasing the money clubs receive further still the team at the bottom of the league this year receive as much in tv & prize money as when City won the league last year. Clubs are much richer now, what seems like huge sums aren't as huge as they once were. I keep trying to make this point, and I keep trying to explain myself as best I can - but I guess I'm not doing a great job. I'm not sure on the exact figures, but I would be surprised if us laying out £12m on a player now is actually a massive increase on % of total revenue than say compared to the £4m signing of Rory Delap way back when. Think of it another way, back then your transfer record fees were around the £15/20/30m tops mark - a £4m is around 30/20/10ish % of that. Now, you have Gareth Bale going for around £85-90m, a £12m signing is around 15% of that. FWIW I think Big Vic is a very good player. It cannot simply be coincidence that since the introduction of him (and Lovren of course) has changed how we look defensively almost beyond recognition. Having a defence that strong is such an asset, it means you are almost never out of a game, or more than a goal away for at least a point in most matches. Vic has definitely played a big role in making it harder to score against, and ultimately beat us. For that reason, I think he is a good signing and a good player. He's still at a good age where there is room for him to improve.
  8. Oh Mikey. I thought you ****ed ya kegs or something. Maybe you should stick to the soft drinks whilst at the Cider bus eh?
  9. I think some of the stuff about Miley is going a bit overboard in my opinion. Yes, what she's doing is often tasteless, and I have to admit even I find it uncomfortable to watch and a bit embarrassing (I'm really rather dull for a 24 year old aren't I?). However, she is far from the first woman to do this, and most likely will not be the last. I don't see anything that much worse than what has been done before, and as far as I can recall there never seemed to be quite this much outrage about it all. Although, I do find it quite reassuring most people widely disapprove of her actions of late. I personally find this the best possible lesson for children. It's all about education, I think their is certainly something to show children in her behaviour and the reaction to it. Though, then again I don't have kids, so I may well be way off the mark. This whole public spat is a bit silly, IMO. Miley's reaction is far from surprising. Her posting the pictures of Sinead O'Connor's tweets is vulgar to be honest. I actually find this far worse than the twerking, awful haircut, the sudden allergy to clothing, that ridiculous tongue that just cannot seem to stay in her mouth (seriously, it's only a matter of time before someone slaps their wang on it, and then I'll get carted off to jail) or anything else I have most likely forgotten combined. It is simply not on to mock mental illness in my opinion, and dragging Amanda Bynes in, who most likely is in need of help, for no reason is really vile. I don't really get what Sinead O'C was hoping to achieve. I can't say I pictured this panning out much different when I first read her letter. And seriously, threatening to sue her over a picture of her tweets, well that's just a bit silly. I'm no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure you cannot sue someone for posting a a picture of something you wrote in a public space like that. I think it was an awful thing for Miley to do, but I'd be hugely surprised if O'C could get anywhere with it.
  10. Can you imagine an england midfield with 3 Central Midfielders that can actually keep the ball, and play some decent passes between them. I think in Barkley, Wilshire and JWP there is potential for a very good CM. There's some other good CM's out there too. One example off the top of my head is Will Hughes at Derby, looks like he could have a very big future if his potential is fulfilled (wouldn't mind us making a cheeky bid for him!), I'm sure there are plenty more that escape me right now. I think JWP is a wonderfully neat player, that keeps the ball well and often uses it wisely. I'm excited to see how he progresses, I see every possibility for him to go on to have a good career, hopefully with Saints.
  11. Well said that man. Spot on.
  12. Does an away win against a team doing better than 4/5 of them not count?
  13. Ohhhh come on. We are all friends here.
  14. Obv. Obv. Decent. Please explain.
  15. The man that in total provided more goals and assists in less games than puncheon you mean? Funny how quiet you are this afternoon isn't it?
  16. Seems to work hard, and possess all the attributes to be a very good striker for the club. Slightly slow start, but I see nothing to suggest he can't be very good for us.
  17. Love it. So solid, so hard to beat. And doing it without even looking that great. Such a contrast to last year. Love that we just don't concede anymore. anyone know how many clean sheets we kept last season? We must be closing in on that number already, can't have been many.
  18. Started working on your twerking Mikey?
  19. We're gonna win the league!
  20. Saints web on tour! Whoooo!
  21. It's even easier when your mate does it for you! Can't wait to make a glorious return to the farm.
  22. Player in wanting to move home, and play for the club they support at an undetermined time shocker.
  23. I agree mate. Right now I think Baines is better. But don't take anything away from Cashley. Undoubtedly a top drawer player.
