The 2013 Stalker Check Survey - Name and Shame Time

Quite funny coming from someone who often uses the phrase "play the post, not the poster", isn't it? -
Can you not ruin the muppet show with your bizarre little obsession bazza? Ta

This idea that we have suddenly stopped caring about the cups is nonsense. We were putting out weaker teams in cups even when were in our 2nd season in League 1. It's a shame, as yeah I'd love a day out at Wembley. But, this is basically what this cup has become. Even Chelsea put out a weakened team against Arsenal (granted that is a ridiculously strong team still). There has to be a chance for the nippers and 2nd stringers to get some game time. Better here than in a game deemed more important (i.e. League or FA Cup). I don't think this necessarily demonstrates the squad is as wafer thin as people are claiming. Yeah, in some positions we will clearly be weaker, but barring some truly bonkers occurance - we are never going to need to make 10 ten changes to the first team for a game we are more bothered about winning. I do really hope we have a better go at the FA Cup though.

Pretty much. Must have been hard for them lately. There sure are some soggy pampers around here tonight. Yes, it's a poor result and it is disappointing. But, it really isn't the end of the world. Least some of the kids got some game time. -

I wonder how many 'visits' are from people (like me) with fat fingers trying to open threads on their phones? I do this regularly. Anyways, 1,685 visits to my 2,270 posts. Most recent stalkists: dellboypete, EBS1980, Glasgow_Saint, Ponty, saint si, saintsurfalot, scotsaintsfan, Smirking_Saint, St Chalet, xxiv -
Yet apparently, governments are capable of staging terrorist acts and killing their own civilians, without that being leaked.

Because season tickets are our only source of revenue then?

How exactly am I being arrogant? Read what I just posted. I've been making this same point for months. You seem unable to do a bit of joined up thinking. TV money and ticket prices go up = transfer fees go up. Isn't that hard really, is it? It isn't 2005 anymore. The market isn't the same. It's vastly different from 3/4 years ago with the latest sums on offer from the stupidly big new tv deals.
-
I'm not saying forget. And if we suddenly started spraying silly fees left right and center, with silly wages I would be worried. But, we aren't. Fees are bigger now than ever before, and that is simply because Prem clubs are just richer. The new tv deals are eye-watering. As ridiculous as it sounds, £12m (obviously a huge sum to most) isn't THAT much for a Premiership club. Even compared to very recent years, the latest TV deal takes clubs spending power way beyond what fans are used to. Especially Saints fans, that have been out of the Prem. Palace spent £8.5m(ish) on that Gayle for christ sake.

Being a resident of NW London, I come across a lot of Gooners fans. It was not just his goal scoring. He was perceived as being too negative, always passing sideways, too slow (as in slowing play down too much) and having poor ball retention. Plenty wanted shot of him, he was held up by a fair few I know as being representative of their 'problems', i.e. Average players not really good enough to take them where they wanted to be.

Serie A to Premiership - success stories?
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Because there are never the same old, our transfers are awful, ramirez useless threads are there? -
Why are people so obsessed with what he cost? It's not coming out of your pocket, is it? More likely, it's coming from Sky and the other companies paying silly amounts to play games on their tv stations around the world. Also the reason fees for all teams have gone up. People still don't seem to understand this.

Absolute nonsense. He was getting slated for quite a while prior to this season.

Old man. -
Step-dad has (kindly really) let me have his and his nieces season ticket for this game. ...unfortunately this means I will be in the Arsenal stand, with my Gooner mate. That said, last time I did that, was when RVP equalised last min at Highbury in the relegation season. I'd take a point at the Emirates this season!
-
I am inclined to disagree with those that say he wasn't at fault. I think he was to be honest. That said, it was indeed a freak goal, and have no problem saying there was no way he could expect it. As has been said, a freak goal. Sums it up really. Could have happened to any keeper on the planet. His reaction, you couldn't ask for better. "I'll make up for it, I will win back those 2 points." (or there abouts) - Arthur mate, we are already way more than 2 points in debt to you. I had doubts initially, christ was I wrong.
-
Thanks mate

Stoke are still a horrible bunch of thugs. Saw them vs Arsenal at the Emirates a month or so back, and it is so cynical. They were literally taking turns to clatter into Wilshire, who in fairness did give one wild lunge back and was lucky not to see red I thought. They were swinging at Ozil too, but simply couldn't get near him. I'd be tempted to play Davis for this reason.
