  2. - why?

  8. FANTASTIC NEWS!! I was a doubter, completely wrong there. CB is now priority for summer! COYS!!
  9. This has been on repeat all day. My head has been in a constant state of 'bop'. Daft Punk are back, and they are bringing funk with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DeogMJmI4qY
  10. If he isn't going to get anywhere near the first team, which he isn't, then why keep him? Surely he would rather be playing regular football? We aren't going to start picking him out of sentiment. Would be much worse to waste his career here sitting on the bench, when he can get games in the Championship.
  11. Sorry but no. Decent performer, and good captain for us in the Champ & L1. But like many others, he is not one to progress as far as the club wants to. Deserves to be playing, at best he will be a back up back up, and even then out-of-his depth. Move him on, and wish him all the best. Same category as Chaplow and Sharp for me.
  12. Yeah possibly. He seems to have potential to be a decent manager in my opinion.
  13. I know what you mean. But I find it hard to blame the club for that. They just happen to be in a mainly Rugby town, in between Manchester & Liverpool. I like Dave Whelan, and I'm a big fan of Roberto Martinez. I think they have done really well to stay in the league so long considering they are constantly selling their best players, and spend quite little. Martinez gets them playing some good football too, at least (well, from March onwards )
  14. The only reason he'd leave Everton is for Champions League. He's basically said as much in several interviews. Never going to happen.
  15. Thing with Sunderland is, they made a change. They were dropping like a stone and made a bold move to change it. They did ok against Chelsea, and a 3-0 win away to Newcastle, in a Derby, is a decent start for Di Canio. Stoke are doing what they have been doing for years, but with much less success. It has also been noted how the Britannia is not the fortress it once was, they simply aren't as hard to play against as they once were. I understand what you are getting at, and we are a fickle bunch (myself firmly included), but I think this case is slightly different.
  16. I despise Stoke. So bored of Pulis and that stupid hat. His constant moaning. His anti-football approach to football. The whole novelty of look, they are roughing up the big guns has long since worn off. They are just a bunch of over-sized nasty thugs who kick lumps out of anyone that has the temerity to actually play football. All they do is pump the ball into the box and see what happens. Would love to be the team that relegated them. Would have Wigan in the Prem over them any day.
  17. I think that's pretty fair, and in general I agree with what you are saying. I think one problem is, that 'war' is changing. Increasingly wars are no longer thought as State 'x' vs State 'y'. Terrorism, particularly events like 9/11 change this landscape I feel. The lines of what constitutes war in a traditional sense are being blurred I think, so rightly or wrongly, the practice of keeping things quiet in the name of national security is going to become more prevalent. The important thing, as you mention, is the protection of civil liberties. You can ramp up security as much as you like, but in my opinion, terrorists will always hold the upper hand when it comes to such awful attacks.
  18. In fairness, Mata, Bale, Suarez (much as I hate to say it), Fellaini & De Gea have been fantastic this season.
  19. Serious question Pap. Do you think it's helpful for governments to divulge every piece of information on these sorts of things? In my opinion, which you may disagree, there are some things that would not be helpful to tell us. I have a feeling you may think I am being silly or naive, but, I genuinely think they lie/conceal certain things for security reasons. I'm not claiming this is always done with the best interests of everyone in every case.
  20. Think this would suit
  21. Done, good luck. Don't miss the slog that was my dissertation! Great feeling once it is done!
