100% agree. Spaced is my favourite comedy show ever I think. Wore out my DVD when I was a student. It just sounded a bit, "I preferred them before they were famous".
-
I really hope it lives up to their earlier stuff. Christ that makes me sound like a hipster. But seriously, Pegg has does some real naff stuff. Which is such a shame. I remember watching How to Lose Friends... with the ex when it came out. All I could think about was the irony of it. He sells out, stops doing what is him to go to the states in pursuit of fame & wealth. Funny that. Will defo be going to see this though.
-
Yeah, any league. Thought it may have been him, just wasn't sure if there was one I missed. Cheers mate.
-
Have they ever? I suspect it will be no, given Fergie's tenure. Can't be many clubs like that still kicking about in the Top Division. Out of interest, who was ours?

Villas-Boas "what a wonderful team Pochettino is building"
KelvinsRightGlove replied to positivepete's topic in The Saints
I think it's odd when people talk about our 'wingers', as I don't really see us as playing with any. The '3' all play pretty centrally, occasionally drifting wide, as opposed to starting wide and cutting in. The closest thing to us having wingers, is the FBs acting like Wing-Backs at times, with Cork/Morgan dropping deeper to create 3 defenders. I think this is why it is so noticable when Shaw is missing. Anyway, back to your point. I agree, though I think it's not necessarily they play with more pace, they just have more pacey players. As a unit, Lennon/Bale/Defoe/Adebayor/Gylfi are probably quicker than Lallana/Gaston/Davis/Jrod/Lambert - Punch is a bit quicker, but hardly has 'lightning' pace, and has played much of late. -
First Thatcher dies, now Fergie retires. Somewhere there is a scouser with a lamp and one wish left.
-
Solksjaer is probably a good outside punt. Still can't really see past Moyes or Jose, in my op.
-
The two of them have been Bezza's for years. Even when JM was at Chelsea they loved each other. That said, Fergie is a known admirer of Moyes too. Interesting to see how this pans out. Would love to be Jose this summer, the pick of United, Chelsea and PSG. He can pretty much name his price.
-
Crazy, didn't see that coming. Always thought Jose was a sure thing to take over, was starting to think it wouldn't happen. Guess that has been blown wide open once more. Has to be a two-horse race between him and Moyes surely? How on earth can you fill the shoes of the best manager ever, which in my opinion SAF is by quite some way. Would need Jose's character I reckon. Bit in shock though, he's been in charge at United longer than I have been alive.

Lambert hasn't scored from open play for 8 games!

I'm going to get rounded on, probably fairly, but I want to see us sign someone better in the summer. Absolutely not as #1 priority signing, CB all day long. But I think if we are going to progress, we can't play with Rickie every game. I think he is a brilliant, and fantastically intelligent player. Without doubt, his signing was the most crucial in our ascent back to the prem, and the guy is rightly a legend. I'm a huge fan of his. I just really feel if things don't work out with him in a game, there's no alternative. We can become a bit blunt and predictable at times. Although it is equally arguable that this is also the blame of 'the 3'. I'm not saying get rid of him, just if we really want to progress, then sooner or later, an upgrade is required. Still love the bloke though. -
As a result of this post, I would be willing to put my house on him being here, and being a star performer next year. Shame I don't own a house really.
-
But we are though. Mwahahaha
-
Haha they were bad when we were going down with them. Now they are bad because we look likely to stay up with them.? Notice you haven't been on Jay "wouldn't be half what we paid for him" Rods case as much recently? Wrong again were ya mate?

Step-by-step guide to survival before kick off on May 19th

Prior to tonight their previous two games form was 6 points. That's champions league form. They are an almighty points gathering machine, unstoppable in their inevitable march to 17th. All fear the unbeatable Wigan. -
Obviously. What was it he was saying earlier? Wigan were flying? I was getting mugged off? Funny how quiet I had gone. See you July 1st with the inevitable red-faced foot stamping, toys out the pram, "why haven't we signed 18 players yet?! FFS, the management are rubbish, they don't know what they are doing. I'm wrong about everything I say but still claim I know more than the management, and everyone else in the world." Can't wait, until then alps, enjoy your hole.
-
Get what you are saying, and yeah it would be nice to get a few more screamers. But as has been said, we tend to play possession football, looking for the pass, rather than long range efforts. This can be frustrating as hell, as it has been more than once this season. However, seeing as these rarely go in, I'm happy for us to keep possession, rather than give it away cheaply. Though work on possession, particularly in the final third, could be done.
-
Maybe because you spout such crap constantly, and you are wrong every time.

My Player Twin - who do you look like?
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Good shout. -
Yeah Wigan will get 5 from Swansea, Arsenal & Villa. Saints will get none from Sunderland & Stoke, whilst also being out scored by Norwich & Newcastle. I never used the 'magical form' change alpine, that was your line. And as your buddy pointed out just above, Saints have already put in more 'magical' changes in form.
-
I never said I think it will happen. Just that it would do for us, and I would take it.

I'm losing it, because I think this isn't more likely to happen than saints pick up 1/2 point from Sunderland & Stoke. Course. -
right, so if the points came off those teams around us, impacting the bottom more, then surely we would be safer, and higher up the table? So people may actually have been more excited?
-
As you exemplify everyday Alps, that's not how forums work.

So Wigan are going to stay up, because their 2 game form is better than ours. They will do this by beating Villa, who have a 2 game form better than Wigan. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. -
If only QPR had spent £20+ million. Think where they would be now.
