  1. Shut up you. This is the only place for international news: http://www.theonion.com/
  2. That is an essential trait for any aspiring Premiership manager. Can he spell his own name? If so, forget about it.
  3. Not the first, definitely won't be the last!
  4. What I really want is a manager giving impromptu press conferences from the window of his range rover, does said mystery man to which you refer do this?
  5. Ah actually that sounds right. Probs that I was thinking of. Regardless, my point about Billy Sharp still stands.
  6. I swear when he was out on loan somewhere he played against Utd in theCL, and beat them? Could be wrong, probably confused with someone else.
  7. I hate the argument that women dressing provocatively leads men astray. These would be the same people that claim women bring rape upon themselves. It's such a vile viewpoint. A woman could sit on a busy train 100% naked, if a man rapes her, it is still rape. She may be guilty of indecent exposure, but that does not excuse men raping women. Men should be able to control their urges. Rant over. Sorry for being off topic.
  8. He played in the win against Utd didn't he?
  9. Simply, Sharp has less to his game. He isn't as technically gifted, or clever a player as Lambert. Even when not scoring, Lambert offers a lot more to the team as he can create and bring others into the game, drop deep, hold up the ball and strikes a mean dead-ball. Sharp is much more an in the box poacher type player, if he doesn't get the ball at his feet in the box, what else is he offering the side? I also think there are better players of the same mould than him in the Prem. Furthermore he doesn't suit our current style of play. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the bloke, and he was a great stop-gap signing that undoubtedly helped us over the line last year, but I just don't think he is a Premiership player. In my opinion he is a Championship level player, that's hardly an insult, the Champ is a great league, and one I'd kill to be good enough to play in personally. He deserves to be playing regular football, and is better than being a bench-warmer picking up a pay-cheque for a premier league team, knowing he is no-where near the first XI.
  10. What an utterly bizarre post. Not even an ounce of consistency in the comparisons. Boruc has played in Serie A & SPL, so some top levels, including Champions League football. Jos has also played SPL & Champions League football. Yoshi played in a top division in Holland. Clyne, Rodriguez & Lallana and probably even Morgan are all younger and have had less time establishing themselves in the Championship. Gaston has played Serie A and has international experience, prior to joining Saints. Shaw & JWP are academy graduates both not yet even 19. Until last year Lambert hadn't even played at Championship level, so judging whether a guy in his late 20's can make the jump from L1 to the Prem is perceived as a greater risk, especially seeing as it would have taken a sizable offer to prise him away from Saints. Even this year there were doubts from fans and pundits whether or not he could do it on this level. Sharp has been regularly playing and scoring in the Championship for a more prolonged period (even then usually closer to the bottom end of that league than the top) than those you mention - yet still no-one took a punt on him.
  11. I don't get what is so bizarre about having bomb squads at a large event? I'd be willing to bet there are bomb squads police dogs, and various other parts of police and security at most events on this scale. That really is clutching at straws.
  12. I think in general, they have some talented players coming out of that part of the world. But I agree, some really good CBs. Tend to be absolute monsters too, which I think we could do with alongside Yoshi.
  13. He has indeed. De Gea also. Seems he can't shake that clown tag, and yet Hart has had a shocker and no-one says anything. Imagine the furore if De Gea dropped that shot at St. Marys (was it for the 2nd goal?) that Hart did!
  14. friends quoting the younger brother saying that he said he believed in the right circumstances terrorist acts were justified.
  15. Yeah can't see it either.
  16. Cnn stream if anyone is interested http://www.playlivenews.com/2010/08/watch-cnn-news-live/
  17. Watching a CNN stream. Reports from people he was at school with and neighbours say the 19 year old on the loose was a nice guy, assimilated into US. Seems odd. Bet you conspiracy theorists are loving this.
  18. @Dzhokhar_ Twitter account. He really hates Suarez.
  19. Wilshere has actually started 20 games. Surprised by that.
  20. I don't like to generalise, but Americans think arming teachers & generally putting more guns in schools is the answer to less shootings in schools. They clearly don't know what is good for themselves.
  21. Morgan should at least be in the YPOTY list.
  22. Danny "I'm a striker that scores 2 goals in a season" Welbeck. Pathetic.
  23. Ha fair enough. I don't know. I'll wait for a bit more info to filter through just yet. The gullible sheep I am
  24. Would probably pull Jamie out of retirement too.
