There is a pretty glaring flaw in this argument. We have played the same amount of games as all the teams around us, and have more points than them. Therefore clearly amassing points at a greater rate than those teams. We also wernt in the bottom 3 at the half way point - ie when everyone had played everyone. So yeah, nice try. But your argument is irrelevant and totally illogical.

By the same token, we are playing well but not getting results. Keep up that performance level, get a bit of luck and draws turn to wins, then we could well be moving up the table. Instead of hypotheticals, lets deal with facts. We were not beaten. We are still not in the relegation zone. We still currently have a 3 point cushion. No need to panic yet. Certainly not safe, and have to keep going. But no need to panic. If rather be us than QPR, Wigan or Villa at the moment.

Should have been better. Could have been worse. Frustrating, but still 3 points clear of danger. Still think we will be ok. It's not as if we are getting hammered on a weekly basis. I'm not having a go at you. It's just something I don't get on here. Why must fans be so exclusive about the club? I hear so often that a football club is meant to be a cornerstone in the community, yet all fans want to do is take pops at each other for being middle-class, not from soton, haven't supported as long as others etc etc. Maybe I'm being naive, or idealistic, but shouldn't supporting the club be a unifying, levelling thing? Anyway, rant over. In terms of the press, personally, I'm fine with the way the club does things. I'd much rather we kept quiet on what we are trying to do than the 'arry route of constantly talking about every player. The Odemwingie saga was scandalous, arry's chat played a huge part in that yet he doesn't seem to get any flack over it - funny that? I don't really understand the need to know every detail about transfers and injuries personally.
