Oh for sure. They really are fantastic musicians and great performers. Always put on a great show. I actually wasn't a big fan until I saw them at Reading in '06, but I was so blown away I went straight out and got all their albums and got a bit obsessed. I really think given a month alone with any instrument, Matt Bellamy would be one of the best in the world with said instrument.

FWIW, I would agree about Band of Skulls. I dunno about your preferences, but I have seen them a couple of times, and always really enjoyed them. I get the Black Keys link, oddly enough I saw BoS support Black Keys at ally pally a while back. That was a great night!

Reading The Great Gatsby at the minute. I have started it a few times before, and just never seemed to finish it, but I want to have read it before the film comes out. It's slightly distracting know Leo is going to be Gatsby, as he is all I can picture now. Enjoying it though, even if it is slightly odd/slow.

Watching it on MOTD it really didn't look a pen.

Is the January transfer window a waste of time?

They are a top 5 club and not a selling club. By your reasoning every team in the world is a selling club. And you say I'm naive. -

Where did I say Shaw or Lallana wouldn't? -
Blimey, turks me old mukka. 100% with you on this one. Interesting that a fair few of the same people calling for more transfers (as they do EVERY SINGLE WINDOW) are also the ones that wanted Adders to go, and are now also moaning about that.

That's one Adkins sacking theory dismissed

Coz we moved on squad players that he probably didn't want playing anyway. But we didn't bring in as many players as he wanted, so now christmas is a write off, and all the toys are now out the play pen. Selling surplus players makes you a selling club. Obv. -

There is a difference between being a selling club, and every asset (player) having a price. I don't think we would accept £10m for Shaw, and if Oxo cost £15 when we were a recently promoted L1 club and the lad had only 2/3rd's a season in L1, then I also don't believe we'd sell Lallana for £15m either. Look at Arsenal then. Financially no need to sell, qualified for the Champions League something like 15 consecutive years, yet have still lost Nasri, Van Persie & Cesc. Money talks, everything has it's price. That does not equate to us being a selling club. I know you don't like to hear that, but it's true. -
Young Schneiderlin and his Yellow Cards
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Professor's topic in The Saints
I'm not sure what that stat refers to - i.e whether that is completed/attempted/and whether fouls/yellows count toward that figure? so it may be 95 good tackles + the 7 yellows, if that makes any sense? -
It's not beyond the realms of possibly my friend. Though, I still won't be too upset if we are beat (unless it's an absolute battering).

Rabble, rabble rabble. It's not like it was back in my day. Zzzzzzzzzzzz. This is nonsense. If Man Utd can't keep hold of Ronaldo, then every single club in the world is a selling club. -
Who wouldn't be?! the guy is a machine. I don't like to celebrate someone else's injury, but can only benefit Saints (or any team that faces them in his absence). Class defender, and a good leader too.

What, you get that from moving on squad players who aren't anywhere near the first team? Despite long-term contracts for the like of Lallana, JWP & Luke Shaw. You gotta do better than that fella. -

Was it not a clue when he (Pochettino) said signings were unlikely this window? -
My bad

:facepalm: FFS the guy was in charge over 2 years. How hard is it? ADKINS!!! ADkins

BoS supporting Muse is it? Should be a good night! Not a fan of Muse's last couple of albums, but no doubt they will be amazing live, they always are. Matt Bellamy is just a machine.

Correct Sir. I've thought we would stay up all season, Jan hasn't changed this. Honestly think we have a better team than others in the relegation battle. Villa's signings are hardly terrifying, and still not all that convinced by QPR. A win at Wigan would go a long way to survival, imo. Though, whatever the result it's not the end of the world, still plenty of games and points left to be played for.

That's fine by me. It's easy to forget that he's still pretty darn young really. Probably 5 years til he's at his absolute peak, with that extra experience I am sure he will get on top of it. That said, it never really seemed to affect the games of Keane & Vieira, arguably the two best defensive midfielders of the PL era. -
The converse is also true. Still plenty here saying we are not good enough. Cannot improve, and are destined to go down. Balance and all that.

As always, no point whatsoever.
