  1. Got my pants absolutely pulled down (£95 to be in the gods) but **** it I'm off to Fleetwood Mac in September!!! Absolutely buzzing!!! More immediately, off to the NME tour up in Leeds tomorrow! Should be a good'un, really excited to see Peace for the first time whilst Palma Violets & Miles Kane haven't let me down yet!
  2. Zonal marking coming good.
  3. The guy's clearly got potential I think, just needs to get on the pitch and start showing it now I think. That pace could be a valuable if harnessed correctly.
  4. I like to think it's a sign of the man's growing confidence, and his presence on the pitch creeping into his everyday life. Read it as: "this whole area is mine, I own it, you are not coming here"
  5. Jose Fonte (I assume), he parks where he wants!
  6. This cult of Cortese thing really is a load of sh!te
  7. It kind of reminded me of what a lot of conversations on the main board get like: Oh it's not like it was in my day Oh aye, much better back then, all this modern stuff, oh how I hate it. I just don't get it, people moan about how much they love records, CDs and record shops, yet no one buys them, the formats are practically obsolete and the shops are going out of business. If they were so great why aren't they booming? Oh you can't touch an mp3 No you can't, but you can still listen to it, as many times you want without it wearing out, and can have it in your pocket, on your phone, along with thousands of other albums.
  8. Not a dig at you mate, but I did this and had us lower (16th) with less points than you had us on 37 points. Considering our two usual stances, this did make me chuckle.
  9. In your opinion, is MLT beyond reproach?
  10. Can't see that personally. Isn't Remy out for like 2 months?
  11. Hehe it's a good point, well made. In fairness, it is a great show. Was less keen on the wire.
  12. Relative to Wigan, reading, villa, Swansea, Norwich, how does QPR's spending look? Can you read? LAST SEASON, ie when they were throwing around £5m at Matt Mills etc and had Sven in charge, I can't imagine he comes cheap. How did that go for them? Remind me will you?
  13. Oh you are in for such a treat. I got through four and a half series in little over a month (I was unemployed at the time to be fair). My favourite TV series, if I'm being honest, by quite some distance.
  14. Yep, just chucking money at the problem always works. Never mind, QPR. Or even Leicester last season.
  15. Bout as close you'll get to a hotty main character. Shame there aren't more, but also shows how good the show is that it didn't need this at all. That said, for me BB is still second to The Sopranos, and there were plenty of bangers in there.
  16. This is outrageous. Matt is the messiah and every single word he says is gospel. He has more right than anyone else to say what he wants, furthermore, whatever he says should be actioned IMMEDIATELY. If he has fallen out with Cortese, even though I don't know he has fallen out with him, Cortese must be evil. How can you tarnish a legend like this. Rabble Rabble Rabble. Sorry, couldn't resist. It's actually a pretty fair point.
  17. Wait to be told what an outrage this is.
  18. Right, never mind. I'm clearly just confused. Ta anyway.
  19. As he pointed out, he could just as well have carried on training with the kids and picking up his pay check. Which would have harmed the club in keeping a disruptive influence around, and spending probably a fair amount on a player offering nothing to the club. These players always find other clubs anyway.
  20. Apologies, I wasn't clear. I meant all this Romsey on the uglies. I assumed this was StuRomsey?
  21. The man responsible for brokering a deal with a multi-billionaire, saving us from near liquidation and then overseeing a great cup run & day out at Wembley (granted it was the paint pot) and two successive promotions. I'm sure no-one will remember him. I'm not denigrating MLT's achievement one iota, the man is a bona fide legend, and rightly so. But, like it or not, he is no longer involved in the club. If he cares so much about the club he will let those running it get on with doing so.
  22. Yeah Skyler is annoying as hell. But really, Walt is just a ***t, granted he is still an absolute bad man. You're in for some fun yet SG.
  23. What's this you speak of friend? Sounds amusing, please share.
  24. Eurgh this is so depressing. One of the greatest players in this clubs history is dragging his own reputation through the mud. I am generally supportive of NC, and think it is hard to argue with his running of the club. It's clear he has a vision of what he wants to do with the club, and he will stop at no ends to make this happen. He is here to get the job done, not to make friends. Fair play, I may not always agree with his actions, or the way he goes about things, but it's pretty hard to argue with the guys results. Considering this, it's hard to believe that this whole issue is regarding the club. The club is in a far better way than it has been for a very long time. Therefore, we can really only assume it is a personal matter. This quote from the echo article perhaps proves this: “I would like to ask him some questions about what he said in his interview, and about what he’s done to some of my friends. I would like him to look me in the eye and give me some reasons why he’s done the stuff he’s done.” Infact, this quite clearly shows it is a personal issue. If this meeting was arranged, and it was put in place that it would be between them, and not getting the media involved you really have to ask, why would MLT go public if he A) really had the best interests of the club at heart & B) actually wanted the meeting at all. The meeting clearly isn't about the club, and if it was, what right to input does Matt have anyway? He was a fine footballer, but that does not qualify him to be a CEO or Chairman of a Club, especially considering his previous attempts at trying to run companies. Matt clearly just wants to sit on the outside taking snipes. I think really, he knew that he had nothing to gain from this meeting. So hoped forcing it to be cancelled by breaking privacy agreements would make Cortese look bad, as he isn't willing to air his dirty laundry in public with MLT. It's just so schoolground, if I was Cortese I too would have told MLT to do one. The most frustrating thing is, no-one actually really cares. I mean, on a national scale, what kind of Manchester United fan actually gives a flying **** about our current chairman (most probably don't actually know who Cortese is) and MLT having a bickering match? I really can't imagine there is any. How exactly is Matty taking pop shots at the chairman meant to benefit the club, that he is oh so keen to help?
  25. Ha I did the same a few months ago. On a hungover day I managed to do the best part of season. Great viewing, even if you do start to hate every single character by around season 3.
