Not sure if this goes in here or the films thread. But I have been watching a few of the BBC Storyville documentaries to pass the commute. 1st one I watched was about the founders of The Pirate Bay and their continuing court battles. Was really interesting to see the chaps behind it, and some of the reactions to them. Should mention large parts are in Swedish (with subtitles obv), which is helping my fledgling attempts to learn the language (I go to Stockholm & Malmo fairly often with work). 2nd one I watched was the next episode about Hacktivism & Anonymous. This one was really interesting, I guess having a politics degree and an interest in the web and peoples behaviour online drew me to this - but I certainly would recommend it. It frames a lot of the debate in a geo-political viewpoint, which I think gives these groups and their activities a fresh perspective to a lot of the scaremonger you may see elsewhere. I do love the Beeb.

Spending minimum on credit/debits cards?

Have you used the contactless things? They are brilliant. Unless you have exact cash ready to hand before you go up to pay, then they are definitely quicker than handing over a note and waiting for change. -

I go to the pub with my team from work occasionally. I put orders on the company card. Does that make me wretched? I'm certainly not a student anymore. Also, contactless payment is defo the way to go. Far quicker and easier than cash. Our local Weatherspoons has got these machines in now, and the Owner and Assistant Manager (mate from school) both say they love it - has made serving far easier, especially when it gets busy on weekends. -

Christ you are a misery guts Bazza. Is there anything you don't hate, find sub-standard or just generally doesn't get you in a flap? -
What really hacks me off is that they are not only butchering one great song, but two. I hate them so, so, so much.

Surprised there isn't a thread on this already. Basically: :lol::lol: He is a funny bugger. Cannot stand the bloke though, pathetic little man, always moaning about everything, with a seemingly unabashed sense of entitlement. Glad to see the back of him frankly. He'll still get another top job, which is ridiculous. I just really do not think he is that good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uzcVT6TN2Zg

Pretty sure the euro's were last year, it's a world cup next year -
Is it really pathetic that I can't use the phrase "in the dark" without then immediately having to hear this: [video=youtube_share;JwOje6nf03A]http://youtu.be/JwOje6nf03A It's lead to a full blown Brucie sesh now. Unlucky office.

I've been reading this on/off for a while. About my 3rd or 4th attempt. I just always seem to lose interest. How you finding it.
-
Course you would. Who actually thinks these things? I can't think of anyone that actually says it WILL happen.
-
I'm not saying that will be the sole deciding factor. Though, I think it may play a part. It would certainly make it a harder proposition to turn down.

For once, I agree with you. Fox appears to be the new Guly, along with Gaston. I don't really think he is Prem class, but he was unfortunate to give the pen away - it certainly wasn't intentional, and the own goal was a bit of a freak occurrence. Maybe he could have gone the other way/used his other foot. People's reactions on here make it sound like he is deliberately putting the ball past Boruc, or an Ali Dia for the 21st Century.

I'd imagine Bertrand is likely, wouldn't be an awful deal. Can't see Cole coming to SMS. Imagine after Chelsea he would go US or China or somewhere similar for $$$.
-
He is from Kingston, so West-London, and apparently a Chelsea fan. Wouldn't surprise me massively, and if the deal is right, I would find it hard to hold it against him wanting to go play for the team he supports, in the CL and challenging for more titles than he would be likely to here.

I know attacking players generally attract higher fees, but if Oxo was worth £15m after 2/3's in L1, whilst in the Championship. What is Luke Shaw worth after 2/3's of a season in the Premiership, especially if we stay up.
-
Thing is, you and Turkish go on about how you are the maligned minority shouting in the face of doubters, when I really struggle to see many people that think we are likely to be there anytime soon? There are some that think it is not impossible, though unlikely. And those that think as long as we don't over stretch ourselves in pushing for this, there is no harm in reaching for the top.
-
What happened to keeping on topic? Funny how little you have had to say about my actually Luke Shaw post. Wanna start an argument with no-one about us being in the Champions League?

That you fill threads with illiterate drivel that adds nothing to debate or discussion.

Standard. Lots of noise, no point.

Way I see it, Luke Shaw is one of the top young talents in the country at the moment. In the off-transfer season (outside of window) there isnt a great deal to talk about. Big clubs are always linked to the best players, Luke Shaw is perhaps one of the best in his age group at present, so is bound to get linked with a move to the top clubs. I'm not saying this makes it true or untrue, just that it's inevitable that he will be linked elsewhere. Chelsea may well be interested, that doesn't necessarily mean they will sign him this summer. Personally, I think it would be a mistake for him to go there at this time in his career. He is getting regular Premier League experience, at a club renowned for developing young players, with a manager who has a burgeoning reputation for doing the same. Contrast this with Chelsea, who have not bought a young player through to the first team successfully since John Terry. This is most likely due to the managerial instability at the club, where pressure is so great to gain immediate results that players are bought for now, and little forethought is given to the future. Cole, like him or not, is still top quality (annoyingly), he has arguably been the best (certainly at least amongst the best) LB in the world this century, so far. Shaw would go there, and probably still play second fiddle to Cole. I know he is a Chelsea fan, and he will most likely end up there, or at United etc and fair enough. I don't see why the club would have made such a big deal about him agreeing to an extension if they weren't reasonably certain he would sign it. When he does go, we will most likely make a killing on him, which can only really benefit the club, if invested well in infrastructure (which we have proven we are good at) and new players.

There are how many people on this forum? And how many say that? Probably single digits. As ever, extravagant hyperbole from my flamboyant forum bff.

When you accuse someone of wanting to suck someone else's cock because they disagree with you, you are probably a troll. A poor one at that.
