funnily enough, that is the film that Alex Jones was complaining about as her fella watches over & over.

Not usually my sort of thing, but really falling in love with Chvrches at the moment. Quite simply, just really nice songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SSW3NXdsP0 The amount of really good new music around at the moment is staggering. Britain really is rocking again! So many exciting new bands around at the moment! Love it!

Seperate, but related(ish) seems Mr. Coyne & co are making quite the habit of this: http://www.nme.com/news/the-flaming-lips/68620 -
Flaming Lips to cover Stone Roses debut Album

Well exactly, if it is 'that bad', I'll just pretend it doesn't exist. Simple really -
If delivered well, out-swingers can be really hard to defend. In the right area, it can draw in and commit defenders, and potentially commit the GK. Really, it's all about delivery, a good cross inswinging or out, is a good cross.

Bit off topic I know, but just out of curiosity. Were we to replace Jos in the summer, what sort of player dya reckon we'll go for? Jos, who I think has been performing well of late in fairness to him, is effectively 4th choice CB now. Do we go for a young, ball playing CB, who will come into the side from time-to-time, or go all out for another first XI cb, who considering Yoshi's impressive form, and you would imagine Forren being first choice, would have to be a player of a pretty decent calibre. I guess really the same would have to be true in Punch's case. The guy has played ever so well this season, and for someone else to come in the same position you probably face the same dilemma. That said, I do believe that standing still is equal to going backwards. One only needs to look at the start to the season Newcastle had to see that. Exciting times ahead!
-
I think this is fair, and I respect what you are saying. The above is just my opinion, and how I see things. Personally, I would rather as a club we focused on the future, not the past. Seems he gave a decent interview and tried not to get too dragged into this again. Fair play to him, I just wish he had done it all along. Hopefully things can settle down from here on in.
-
fair play to the guy, was a top finish. rickie would have been proud of that one.
-
Noticed a few people on the Utd forum the other day were saying sign him up! Obviously that does mean a huge deal, but shows people are noticing him. I've been a big doubter of the guy previously, but he has certainly proved me wrong this season. Hope we keep hold of him. Really looking an important player for us of late.
-
This. I think I find myself on the opposing side to many other fans on this issue. Yes he was a great player for us, arguably the best. And I get what people say about the history of the club etc. But what I don't get is what people hope to achieve by looking back? Undoubtedly, people like MLT and Lawrie Mac played a huge part in the clubs history, but it is just that. Do people not want us to have new heroes and legends? Do people that go with their kids not want new people for their kids to look up to and idolise, instead of just hearing their folks harping on about people that left the club before they were born. No, it shouldn't have to come to a choice between the past and future, and I don't think it really is. But, like it or loathe it, it is beyond dispute who is more important in the present and future of this club. If all we want to do is look back, we'll end up sounding like Liverpool fans - constantly bleating on about how good they were before they were born - at least in their case that actually won quite a lot. Personally, I want to see Saints achieve, and challenge for honours, and crowing on about the past constantly isn't going to help that one bit. Sorry Matt, I love you, but please, please, please, just let it go.

I am with you to an extent, but done well these sorts of things can be really good. I really like Easy Star AllStars, who have made great covers albums of radiohead, the Beatles and pink floyd. Personally think it could go either way. -
Really? I saw Ian Brown in Manchester back in 2010, and then the stones last year. For me I'd much rather see the stones, can't wait for the finnsbury park show!

Lost count of the times I have watched Annie Hall. I still absolutely adore that film. Doubt I will ever tire of it.

I saw her at Bestival a couple of years back. Found her quite enjoyable. Great performer, good voice, and as you said a funny girl. The NME show last night was brilliant. Peace absolutely stole the show. Easily the best act of the night, which is no mean feat, as the other three bands on the bill were very good. Even Django Django, who I've never really been a fan of, were very impressive live.
-
Starting to look a bargain. Pocchettino clearly rates him, and his form of late has been very impressive. Long may it continue. And to think, many round here were using him as an example of how poor our summer transfer activity was. That list is looking shorter by the week.
-
Right there you have demonstrated just how little you know sir.
-
well at least you admit it. I'm going to enjoy being right, and smug for just a moment. I think it was clear to see from previous performances this was coming. I loved Adkins, I really really did, but it does look as though (granted it is still very early days) MP is the real deal. This must irk the Cortese bashers, is this appointment another stroke of genius? Like him or loathe him, he has done great things for Southampton Football Club. Another really, really good performance, that finally reaped the result it deserved. So much fun being able to give Man City fans crap in the pub. Watching that asa stand alone game, you would never have thought we were fighting relegation and city trying to defend the title. Just brilliant.
-
But I though JRod and Davis were indicators of how poor our summer shopping was? Not an awful scenario is it? Having players the calibre of Lallana and Gaston having to earn their way back into the side. Same possibly goes for Fonte and Forren (in his case clearly just breaking in). And I thought the great oracles of Saintsweb had decreed our squad was too thin. Onwards and upwards, come on you saints.
-
Initially I thought pen, seeing the replay, I certainly would have been ****ed if it was given a against us.

So are we now officially OVER Nigel Adkins
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
I'll happily admit I was furious over Adkins sacking, and threw my toys out the pram. Despite this, from what I have seen under MP, so far I think there has been a step up. I think NA was treated shoddily, and I do think he would have kept us up, but frankly,IMO mp looks a better manager, and we look a better team for him being here. I'm starting to believe that MP has potential to be a top class manager, and we are indeed lucky to have him. That said, I do still think NA will be a top manager, and I will forever appreciate what he did for our club and the dignity he handled himself with throughout. I will always wish the best for Nigel, and genuinely hope he succeeds, unless he is playing against the saints of course. Onwards and upwards. -
But Cortese picks the team?
-
All the people that repeatedly bleat about what a waste of money he was, and point to him as an example of how poor our summer shopping was.
-
I started playing recently, and absolutely love it. Unfortunately I have been too busy travelling with work and seeing the Mrs to sit and have a proper session. Shame I'm crap at it though.

Flaming Lips to cover Stone Roses debut Album

Saw this and shared with a few mates the other day. I'm certainly intrigued. I'm a big fan of both bands, and think they will certainly put their own spin on it. I think Flaming Lips have reached the point where they can just do what they want, and don't really care what people think (I like this). Have you seen the anatomically correct heart shaped chocolate usb album they are releasing for valentines? http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/news/latest-news/the-flaming-lips-release-anatomically-correct-chocolate-heart-compilation-album-117501?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-flaming-lips-release-anatomically-correct-chocolate-heart-compilation-album&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
