  1. It is a tad dodge, his thrown distribution is very decent though. Fair play to the bloke, he has certainly proved me wrong. Looking really solid of late. Still can't get over that RVP save at Old Trafford. Just wow.
  2. Most welcome my friend, as I said been there myself, and know how hard it is. Obviously they are internships to start with, but most are looking to keep people on. I started off on a 3 month internship, but was kept on subsequently. Let them know I referred you, it might help out, they seem to like word of mouth. I think most of their stuff is London based, but they do get other stuff. That said, London should be commutable for most games. Plus, there's certainly worse things than living in London.
  3. Brilliant point. For me, personally, "marriage" should be about two people that love each other committing themselves to each other. I have an issue about religious principles defining laws, and marriage is a legal matter. That said, I do feel religions should be allowed to practice as they see fit, so therefore would be opposed to any attempts force any religion to conduct gay marriages. As an atheist myself, but also something of a libertarian, I believe in the right of freedom of expression, and self determination. If gay people want to get married, by all means let them. If churches do not want to marry gay couples, then don't force them. There is no reason a gay couple cannot have a non-religious wedding ceremony. I've also heard some MPs use the argument that they will not support the bill due to worries that gay couples may challenge churches etc in the courts, which frankly is a bulls hit argument. You don't make laws based on what may happen as a result. For example, we don't stop all benefits just because a minority cheat the system, we don't rescind people's liberty just because some people kill etc. I'm a firm believer that all people are equal, and whether young, old, gay, straight, white, black etc everyone should have the same rights and entitlements. Just for the record I am straight and unmarried.
  4. Where you looking to be based? I was out of work for quite a while after I graduated. I came across this agency, http://www.inspiringinterns.com/, and found them to be brilliant. Unconventional, but streets ahead of any other agency (trust me I went through a lot). Within a week, they got me an interview with Man Utd, yeah I know, but still a great opportunity that I would have taken in a heart beat. A week later they got me another interview which was very well suited to me, and I got the job, which I'm still in (9 months later). Not sure what they'll have relevant for you, or in your area - but I would certainly recommend giving them a go. Good luck mate, it's bloody brutal out there!
  5. "Hmmmmmmmmm, what's that funny smell? Think we best get you down the hospital, luv."
  6. Peace - Follow Baby. I bloody love these boys. Cannot wait to see them on Saturday, seriously excited!
  7. Ignorant @rse
  8. I would imagine pulling off such a thing would require intelligence, subtlety & discretion. None of these are traits that exactly spring to mind when thing of SaggyChops.
  9. Looks like our old pal Tancredi Palmeri is about to give some details away, well of some games anyway Tancredi Palmeri ‏@tancredipalmeri And in the next tweets, the detail of international games suspected of match-fixing
  10. Once I get my itinerary, I shall see what I can do. Just been told we're staying at the Palm Atlantis, decent
  11. Addiction is very often a side effect of bipolar. It can be frustrating for those "on the outside looking in", as it were, but it really isn't as simple as just putting down the bottle or how much help you have. Whilst he probably has had more help than your average joe, he probably also has to deal with his issues in a much more public way, with a greater deal of scrutiny and intrusion. This in turns extra stress, which can be a trigger in itself for bipolar sufferers. I'm not having a go mate, it's just something I feel strongly about. I won't go into detail, but I have struggled with Mental Illness myself, and found many people who would simple tell me to 'just cheer up' or 'snap out of it'. I understand how hard it can be to comprehend these things unless you really have experienced it first hand. I know it certainly changed my perception on it all.
  12. Coupled with what I said above, it would make sense that this was the trigger for this latest episode. This is such an unhelpful attitude. Mental health issues are illnesses. Would you be angry at the guy if he had cancer?
  13. He has twice been sectioned in the past. I would say these things certainly don't help the addiction. I heard an interview with his agent saying that he had been clean for 2 years, but a few weeks back a close friend of his passed away, Gazza was by his side as it happened and it had really affected him. Mental health issues are so hard to deal with, especially for those that have not experienced them personally. The idea that one can simply 'just stop drinking' or 'just snap out of depression' is really unhelpful, as it is way more complex than this - hence it being an illness. You wouldn't tell someone with cancer to 'just stop being ill'.
  14. Currently a couple of tracks in, I'm enjoying it.
  15. I approve of this
  16. Possibly inexperience, especially at this level. The majority of the side are rather young, with more experience I imagine (hope) this will sort itself out.
  17. Heading over to Dubai for a works thing in May. Seeing as we have a few residents on here, I was wondering if I could pick your brains. Not sure how much free time I'll get, but is there anything 'must-see/do' if I get a chance? Thanks.
  18. Today I will be listening to MBV and FIDLAR. Two new albums to start off the week. Lovely.
  19. Ah yeah that's the one! I bloody love Echo & the bunnymen! What a night that will be, I may have to try get myself down to that! Bagged myself tickets for Weller & Palma Violets @ Royal Albert Hall t'other day, can't wait for that!
  20. That'll be a good'un, James were my first ever gig. My mum took me as a nipper. Who've they got supporting? Isn't it someone really good? I think I saw something somewhere and thought it looked good.
  21. Considering just yesterday you must have said you think we are going down at least 3 times, forgive me if I find it hard to take you seriously for a while.
  22. Hang on, you keep saying we are going down? I'm confused?
  23. Cheers pal. Will give it a go later on.
  24. Samba and Ramirez cost roughly the same. If both were to be shifted in close season, I'd imagine they'd fetch a similar fee. Samba is at his peak, and probably overpriced. Ramirez is young and has potential to improve, and therefore increase in value. Not to mention Samba is probably on twice Gastons wages.
