  1. BBC Sport ‏@BBCSport QPR, Reading, Wigan & Villa fans where do you need to strengthen to avoid drop. Who is ideal signing? Tweet using #bbctransfernews Like this tweet. Don't include us. Does that mean we aren't going down? Or is it the Anti-Saints Beeb assuming we are already down?
  2. Wow, that's an impressive amount of wrong for one post. Firstly, even the players talk about the changes in playing style the manager has made. Lallana referenced as such in his post-match interview. Secondly, this is just rubbish. Thirdly, that style only stated to happen under NA - who was in charge 2 and a bit years, not 4 seasons. The complaint many had with Pards was that he was long-ball and clueless tactically. Similar to what has been alleged about him at the barcodes.
  3. Why? Do you not think its odd that no Premier League club has taken a punt on him? He's been kicking around and scoring in the champ for long enough to be noticed now. Clearly you know more than all the Premier League Managers & scouts yeah?
  4. Hello, who's this? Has someone hacked Alps? I do agree with this and your previous post above though fella. Can't see how probably the best manager ever saying that about you is going to have any sort of negative effect. If we can play like that at Old Trafford, then there is no reason we can't repeat such performances anywhere in this division. It's not even a fluke when you consider the Stamford Bridge performance.
  5. Nah, I made it all up innit. NOBODY IS SAYING THAT. NOBODY.
  6. I've not claimed to be more intelligent than anyone else. Plenty on here seem happy to moan about lack of incomings, but not so fussed about the potential cost or quality of said signings. Funny how you are just as guilty of what you are accusing me of. That said, I agree with the last part of your post. I still think our current team is good enough to keep us up. I think any signings made should be an improvement on what we currently have. Given how notorious Jan is for being a minefield for getting quality at sensible prices, I'm happy for us to not go into panic mode and sign anyone. It doesn't take much searching to find plenty of others who disagree with this.
  7. It's all been (just) said plenty since he left. Very likeable guy, did a great job for us last season. But clearly isn't up to the Prem. He's hardly a spring chicken, or new on the scene. He's been scoring in the Champ for a while now. Do you not think there is a reason no premiership team has given a crack of the whip yet?
  8. Or the other ridiculous transfers he's bound to make. The guy really is a joke. I'm starting to think he is actually just the luckiest man in the world and his whole career has been a fluke. He has absolutely no sense of fore thought, this time last year he signed Nelsen & Saha for Spurs FFS. Yet people on here want us to follow that model so they have something to get excited about whilst sat watching SSN. Mongs.
  9. Nah he would never chase people down at the front and force mistakes from oppo and then score. Ever.
  10. Wow. Showing such ignorance in such a short post is quite some feat. Top work. ****.
  11. Christ, not this again.
  12. Yup not surprising really. Will no doubt be full of people that have never listened to one of their albums, just there to say "Oh, I saw The Who".
  13. Well we have signed a CB who may well be better than what we currently have, which many people were harking out for Aug - Dec. Forgotten that one?
  14. Didn't he say last night signings will only be made if they will be an improvement on what we have currently. I.e. not signing for signings sake, like many of our resident experts on here want.
  15. 1) Where is there any evidence of this? 2) Even if this is the case, why does it need to be now, and not the summer?
  16. 4 & a half years @ £100k pw!! Eeeek! That's probably not far off our summer spend is it?
  17. He turned down Chelsea for first team football, so would be surprised to see him go to Stoke unless there is a loan back option. that, or they are expecting to lose Begovic today?
  18. Anyone seen the line-up? Looks pretty sweet to me. Elton will be class, and Snoop is a great entertainer (saw him at Glasto a couple of years back). Also worth mentioning the Festival, is curated by Rob da Bank, who is a massive Saints fan. Went in 2011 and was a great weekend. 2nd only to Glasto in terms of festivals I have been to. Other personal highlights for me would be The Flaming Lips, The Knife, Wu-Tang, Bombay Bicycle Club, Peace & The Walkmen. All booked up and seriously excited
  19. Faurlin is a loan, apparently without a permanent clause. Given the state of Italian finances at the moment, I'd be surprised if they are stumping up the full amount on wages. QPR still after a glut of players at the moment. The fee's you dismiss are also probably close to £25m, which is hardly insignificant.
  20. Bout the same time as Remy came in. Some Qatari club, I think.
  21. Cisse, Dyer, Ferdinand, Nelson? Will that really cover Ben-Haim (lol), Remy, Samba & Suk-Young (double lol)'s wages?
  22. FFS we should sign all these average players at above their value, to sit on the bench. West Ham, Reading &QPR are doing it, so should we. Cortese out. :hunt::hunt:
  23. & £100k p/w apparently. Decent player, don't get me wrong. But wow. That & Remy are one almighty throw of the dice. Is Remy on something like £80k p/w too? Pompey mk II written all over it. I forget, who did Poopey have in charge when they were flashing all that cash around again?
